People have made similar claims before, I will wait and see.
Ohh and to think, everyone who told me to see it, said that it was dead on accurate. That's the only reason why I wanted to watch it, otherwise I would have passed. Movies that claim to be "true stories" don't appeal to me much for the simple reason of them being innaccurate due to..well Hollywood Studios wanting to make it more cinematic.
Ya, I've become very skeptical of the "based on a true story" tag. Like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, I heard it was based on a true story, and I remember wondering if there really was a real life Leatherface (btw I'm talking about watching the original as a kid on VHS).
As for the topic, I'll be interested in the results as well. I heard of the Zodiac killer before the movie, but the movie was the first time I fully understood what it was about. Since it was something that happened before my time I didn't pay attention to it, but I must admit I'm curious about it now. It sounds like they've found some compelling evidence.
well it was really based on one guy, Ed Gein, and he didnt go out in a mask and chainsaw. He kept body parts as trophy and made necklaces from nipples, and other sick S**t like thatYes, the Chainsaw massacre was based on a true story. I don't remember much about it, other than the fact that the guy made coats out of his victims skins.

While going through his late stepfathers belongings, Kaufman discovered a number of incriminating items, including a knife covered with what could be blood, a black hood with a zodiac on it (which conceivably could have been used in the 1968 Lake Berryessa murder) as well as rolls of film, at least one of which contained gruesome images that appeared to be people who were murdered, according to Kaufman.
The only thing that keeps me on "Lee" is the timeline of both Zodiac and Allen.
I just think it is cool he has a similar name to the dude from the Shining.![]()

Scofield has already done thatWow. Now we've just got to find D.B. Cooper.
if it truly is this guy...then
Zodiac Owned everyone
It is VERY accurate, but it at the end it hints strongly that Lee Allen was the Zodiac.
seriously I give the Zodiac killer props for that, he made a really scary looking costume![]()
