When I first heard about this I thought this was going to be an adpation of that one book about that tribe in Nigeria I think
But then I found out its about a college football player with Cancer and that 50 lost a bunch of weight for the role

The trailer just came out. And I feel kinda wrong, but I was laughing at it especially at the end when 50 throws up his arms. So unintentionally funny

The story couldve actually been told well if everyone put more effort into it and it was at a studio that could give it a budget

Man, that's like a high-school film project, just bad.

Who thought that trailer voice was acceptable? Shoot them. I slightly feel sorry for 50, because this is hilarious. Oh, Ray Liotta.

yeah Ray Liotta's career really went down
I heard he did a guest spot on Hannah Montana

He was in GOodfellas! :(
But I guess Ray gotta eat

HAHAHA the funniest part is near the end. After he's like a skeleton and stuff, the coach is making him run the bleachers....wtf? He's like 90 pounds, why would he torture himself to that? And then the family is like stoooopppp.

Did he think people would consider him the next Christian Bale?

Kinda reminded me of the Tropic Thunder fake trailers.

Fiddy went full ******.

What a horrible trailer. 50 Cent can't act and will never be taken seriously and Ray Liotta deserves the crap career he is having as I never felt that he was a good actor. I don't even think that he was good in GoodFellas.

Laughably bad, I feel sorry for Ray Liotta. Initially when I heard 50 Cent was losing all that weight I couldn't help but be a little impressed that he would actually do that, but looking at the results just reeks of an unsuccessful, obvious attempt at Hollywood respect.

LMAO. I feel guilty laughing at it but I can't help it. I've seen Asylum trailers that looked more promising.

Also, I'd like to know how this is "the most critically acclaimed role of his career" when the movie hasn't even been screened for anyone yet.

man, come on Ray. you are better than this :csad:

it sucks to see gifted actors such as Ray Liotta and Val Kilmer do crap films. and worse, crap films that are direct to DVD and are found in the clearance aisle.

Ray Liotta , Peebles , and Kilmer have been doing this for years. I wish I could rescue Kilmer from it .

There's always a bad fifty cent movie in the redbox. It reminds me of the days when Ice T would make straight to dvd movies. I once watched two Ice T movies that were filmed in the same building , lol.

I gotta hand it to 50 for trying though

I'd be awesomely funny if this is a great film and the trailer is just ****.

Ever since 50 Cent’s horrific weight-loss photos from the set of Things Fall Apart — the latest in a seemingly never-ending string of comically low-budget movies from the former rapper — first surfaced, we knew we were in for something special. How special, though, wasn’t made clear until this morning, when the movie’s official trailer was released. Featuring a kind-eyed Ray Liotta, a super-locked-in Mario Van Peebles, and, of course, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as a promising college football player struggling with a debilitating disease, it is, truly, a quiet masterpiece of unintentional comedy. Our five favorite things:

1. It really sounds like 50 couldn’t fit the fee for the regular-trailer voice-over guy in the budget, so had to settle for the guy who does the novelty-trailer voice-overs. That makes the line “Deion Barnes had it all … until life got in the way” roughly 10,000 times more awesome than it otherwise would have been.

2. It’s obviously a stretch for 50, at 35 years of age, to be playing a college kid. But that souvenir-shop-rasta-hat-quality wig? It just shaves the years off.

3. At one point, to show us that he’s getting sick, 50 has to take a tumble onto a locker-room bench. What an actor!

4. According to our friend the novelty voice-over trailer guy, this is “Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson … in the most critically acclaimed role … of his career.” There are no quotes from critics provided. You’re just going to have to take novelty voice-over trailer guy’s word on this one, okay?

5. At the very end, scarily skinny 50 is in a nifty white shirt and tie combo, sprinting while crying. Then he puts his hands in the air in a bit of personal triumph, and the image freezes. It’s … it’s incredible.

and here's the low res poster

That poster screams "In 3D!"

Yeah, that wig is god awful. If they wanted him to have hair, they should've just shown off his normal hair and then shaved it. It's terrible

Ray Liotta looks like Mr.Sinister in that poster
and the flick looks like Radio:Part II and that guy screaming he's passing out...Hilarious!!!!

That wig gives Cage a run for his money.
The movie looks very inspiring indeed.

If 50 doesn't get this, he's snubbed.

Little known fact: 50's smash hit "Many Men" is actually about him being snubbed for this role.

"Many men, wish Oscar snubs upon me.
Razzy Awards in my eyes, Lord I can't see".

the way 50 cent talks is in no way good enough for acting.

is he even aware that he lost the weight for nothing?

He doesn't even look like he knows how to make a facial expression.

Am I seeing things or does that poster say the movie's directed by M. Night Shyamalan?

I don't think you're seeing things, and I think that poster is either fake, or things just got even more sad. If you look closely, you can actually make out "The Last Airbender" as the title listed in the credits. Normally I would say perhaps that's just my brain associating something with M. Night because you mentioned his name, but the 'Also Playing In 2D' is the dead giveaway. This is one of the posters from TLA:

Same font, same everything. On this 50 Cent poster, they simply removed the date and added 'Coming Soon.' They left the ENTIRE credits from TLA intact, as well as all of the logos and even TLA's website. Basically just a cut and paste job.

Now again, under normal circumstances, this would immediately write the poster off as fake, but with this film... :funny:

If it even was a fake, I'm trying to figure out why A) someone would actually waste their time doing it, and B) where they got those sick promo shots of Liotta Jackson. Thus, my conclusion is that it's real, and taking the exact credits from another film (one as good as TLA, no less ;)) is just another thing to laugh violently about. Still not as bad as that trailer, but it's certainly close. Voice over guy wins all though.

Yeah, that voice over guy is awesome. Just hearing his voice, I wouldn't even have to watch what's going on in the trailer to know it's going to be one of the greatest unintentional comedies of all time.

In fairness there isn't much competition for that accolade.

:lmao: I thought it was going to a Randy Moss biopic at first.

From the title to the trailer the whole thing plays like a spoof.
