Things You Don't Understand Thread

For religious people... I don't understand who created God. Or who created the creator of God.

For non-religious people... I don't understand how the first atom was created out of nothingness.

I just want to use my cat as a pillow. Why don't people understand me?

Turtles. Turtles all the way down.

That's about a good an answer as any really.

I'm not going to ask how it's plugged in.

Probably plugged into the mouse port.

It ate the mouse and now it's the keyboard. Perfect sense.

I still don't understand women who show off their breasts or show cleavage purposely, and then get upset if someone sneaks a peak; it's like come on, you knew what you were doing when you put that outfit on.

It's cause you're icky and they wanted some rich hot guy to go after them.

Also, they like it and you're a big jerk for taking advantage of it. :p

Well, lets play devil's advocate and see it from their perspect...hey, my eyes are up here, buddy!

Not to go defending pervs or anything but if you wear something revealing you should not be offended when it's seen by other people. That's why it is called provoactive. It provokes the attention to whatever is being displayed. Men and women cannot help to be drawn to certain parts of the body so if you don't want them being stared at, don't expose them.

If you walked around with an over the top frilly outfit on, you would expect people to look at you just as much as if you had (almost) nothing on.

Now the unavoidable caveat lest I be called sexist (which I probably will anyways): That doesn't mean women aren't allowed to dress how they want, they shouldn't have to dress neck to toe covered but you cannot wear something that leaves little covered and not expect it to be seen.

And the most important addition: I'm not even remotely saying it's acceptable to be rude or assault someone who reveals too much. Looking for attention is not an excuse to be harassed for it.

Not to play double devil's advocate, but I just dropped my trousers and I'm hanging out with my wang out... hey, my eyes are here!

It's an extreme counter-example, but the guy has a point you didn't address. Isn't it strange to get offended when someone looks at assets that were dressed in such a way to be extra revealing to the human eye?

I don't understand what I don't understand
Wait, I'm already licked there

I don't get why some metaphors are used as they are

The first atom wasn't created from nothing. It was created in a superheated universe via, in essence, condensed energy: E=mc^2, remember.

As to where that energy came from, the sum total net energy of the universe is 0, which we know because the universe appears to be flat. So the answer, nowhere may be correct. There does not need to be a source, because added together it all still equals 0. If the universe were any other shape, the energy would be either positive or negative, meaning energy would have come, or been expended by something else. But alas, that is not the case.

Call it "science we don't understand"
I like that term, a lot
