This movie is not only the best comic book film of all time, but also one of the best films of all time imo.

So many scenes felt like perfect live action interpretations of comics or animated TV shows with these characters.

And importantly, it had a fun, happy ending. The Infinity War films both had somber, sad endings. Thanos was untouched and won 99% of the time through those movies. Look at the first Star Wars film - the rebels at least blew up the Death Star. Imagine if Darth Vader kicked everyone's butt in every movie and Luke only beat him by sacrificing himself in death. Not very ideal is it?

You are obviously welcome to your opinion, but I don't think this analogy quite works.

After all, there was a heroic sacrifice at the end of the Original Star Wars trilogy: the redeemed Anakin giving his life to save his son and destroy the Emperor. Anakin quite literally sacrificed himself to destroy the Sith and fulfill the prophecy of the Chosen One.

He grappled- and eventually overtook- Hulk in the first few minutes of Infinity War, not to mention getting his head cut off within the first few minutes of Endgame. Not exactly untouched, especially when you factor in the battles on Wakanda and on Titan. Sure, he had the advantage most of the time and could swat away Earth's heroes like flies, but he wasn't some absolutely unstoppable force.
