The Avengers This video posted several years ago has an uncanny resemblance to the film

OK I watched. Are you saying because he took a nuke into the stratosphere? That plot device has been in other movies nothing new.

Actually fans where saying that the animated short was better than the movies so Marvel wanted to give the fans what they wanted. To make the action in the movie like the animated short.

It was done purposefully.

Iron Man lifts a nuke into orbit and after the explosion, falls back down to Earth unconscious and is then saved by Hulk. I don't read the comics so it seemed too specific of a scene for it to be a norm

Hey wait a second this shot of Hawkeye looks oddly familiar..

Holy crap guys, I think this Joss Whedon guys is ripping off his shots from the comics!! How dare he!

There is a difference. The film is based on the comic books, not on YouTube videos supposedly created by amateur fans. The director is expected to get material from one source, and not the latter

Yeah I can see where your coming from I just think it is one of those standard scifi Hollywood endings at this point. I am trying to think of an example-maybe it does not happen as frequently as I stated but I know its been done.

As to the other comment I HIGHLY doubt this movie was tailored after that short because the fans (those of them that watched it-probably talking about a maybe a couple hundred thousand?) made such a clamour that they decided to base scenes of their 220 million movie off it. Could be mistaken I guess.

While there is a resemblance, it really isn't anything I can't see two people coming up with independently, given the characters involved.

Yeah. That video was on Marvel's website years ago. I don't think it was created by an amatuer fan...

<----------- . The sad thing is that the low rez reuploaded video is the one that has millions of views. The official ones on Marvel's youtube page are quality and Crystal clear.

Yeah, it's an official video, used to market IH and IM back in 2008.
Close this thread, please... :/

Marvel's rippin' off Marvel!
Somebody oughta sue

Yeah that video has been around since 2008 and the first Iron Man movie. Some of us mentioned it when the second trailer was released.

Actually, the ending with Ironman kind of reminded me of the ending in Superman Returns.
