It's being directed by the guy who did '9'. Apparently it comes out in 2014.

I didn't notice it on the wikipedia page at first.

The thing is, there's no real REASON to make a film out of it.

I used to love Thomas the tank engine as a kid. I don't know if live action is way to go with it. I'd say a cg movie of it would be a pretty awesome kids movie.

Why? Because kids love Thomas. My nephew is addicted to that show.

They make a fortune on DVDs, why not make a new movie too? Sounds like a good idea to me.
