Also, I read posts by just reading the posts; I don't look, first, who the user is that wrote them. So I find it hilarious that everytime I read posts that I think are written by Spider-Aziz or Duke, I'm always right. It's become a sort of way to pass the time.

I've dabbled in legitimate dream interpretation for years now.
I had a dream a while back that my really good friend (and boss, coach and landlord) who's been sober for almost 20 years relapsed and got really drunk. It was a pretty frightening dream simply because it I find it painful to see that happen to people. Then, like a week or two ago, I had another dream where the same thing happened to a different friend. What do you make of that?
The clip of Spidey webbing the crook was hilarious.

I concur. Good to see we'll see a snarky and hilarious Spidey.

Spider-Man is witty...at last!

I can't put into words how happy it makes me that we're finally getting a witty Spider-Man.

I kinda want to see Amazing Spider-man fail. Epic fail. Too soon for a reboot. All because Sony threw a fit over Raimi demands...I wanted my 4-6 movies...Nooooooow. Whatever...I've already seen his origin story once. No need again.

You unconsciously (and probably consciously) fear addiction. And you should; it's a terrible thing. And you may have a genetic disposition to it, especially if your family is full of alcoholics like you've mentioned.

I do definitely have a genetic disposition to addiction. I got it in a different way than my family though. I've done my fear share of heavy drinking, drugs and smoking. (Smoked cigarettes for ten years. The second half of which was about a pack a day.) All of which I never became addicted to. Even the cigarettes only took me a few days to quit (hardest part was the habit. What to do with my hands, not going to smoke at the times I usually would, etc.). My addiction is to food. If I have a really bad day, my first thought isn't to go for a drink, get high or have a cigarette; my first thought is to order a pizza. I've walked through a store and felt like I literally did not have control of my arms as they grabbed some really bad junk food, paid for it and put it in my mouth. The entire time, my mind is saying how I'm not going to eat it, I'm not going to eat it and before I knew it, I had eaten it.

I've actually had this talk with the first friend I was talking about. I described my relation to food and he replied, "What you just described is exactly how my relation to alcohol was."

Before midnight. It be that old Wolf one ComicChick made for me, or somebody made for me. Too lazy to ask Kane for new one.

Anyone got a spare B767 engine they don't need?

Considering what he had intended for it, I'm glad it was rebooted instead. Any chance he would have had of having his way and making a good Spider-man movie was with the 3rd one, and that was shot down my executive meddling and his lack of tell them whatwhat, challenge them to fisticuffs, and get them to back off.
Re-telling of the origin can be refreshing in a way. See someone else tell their version with their own style and interpretation.

Yeah, it's very much an addiction as drug and alcohol addictions are. I mean, obviously, the effects and the withdrawals vary greatly, but you understand the hardships it brings. I'd say it's still something that weighs heavily on your mind. Hence the dreams. It's a constant battle not to relapse, and I mean constant.

I think Raimi's films are incredibly overrated. Wooden acting and lines so unnatural and forced it made the dialogue in 'Phantom Menace' seem as snappy as a Coen brothers film. I kinda liked the movies (well the first two) when they first came out, because back then comic films were so abysmal that I was just glad Spidey didn't have metallic nipples (though Green Goblin did). But I can't watch them now. After seeing Iron-Man, Dark Knight, Kick Ass, Chronicle, it just seems so dated and corny
.
The truth hurts, I know. Looking forward to the reboot.

That's your opinion.

Iron Man is pretty good. Iron Man 2 is a let down, only good. Seen Iron Man 2 or 3 times. Seen Iron Man 2 once.

Batman Begins I seen twice or so, but fell asleep one time. The Dark Night I've only seen once. I got both on dvd. No plans to watch them. Rather see Spider-Man 3. Then again, the Raimi movies are easy to watch. The Nolan ones require my full attention and are like super long...Wait...I think I've seen Dark knight twice.

I actually lost lots of interest in seeing super hero movies, but that happens when I hardly have money. I only plan on seeing Lock Out, 3 Stooges, TED, and the Alien Prequel in theaters this year.

Never claimed otherwise.

Never mentioned Iron Man 2.

Yeah, they like, require you to pay attention. I'm not a TDK fanboy, but if your rationale for Spider-Man 3 being better than TDK is that you can put Spidey on as background noise and that TDK requires your attention, that's pretty laughable. All that means is Spider-Man 3 is more vapid and disposable with little actual substance or meat to it.

Three Stooges? Oye, that is going to suck hard at the box office. :o What worked as a mostly silent black-and-white skit in the 1950's is NOT going to translate well in a more cynical, post-Jackass world.

Among those, I think I'll check out Prometheus (that's the Alien prequel, right?).

The Three Stooges were never silent in any of their episodes & commenced in the late 1930s through the late 1950's, with some mediocre 60's films sprinkled in. You may proceed with your word duel or debate with ETM. :o

The Dark Knight and Batman Begins are...great, well Dark Knight is. But to me, the replay value is really limited. I'll watch it again one day, but like...I seen it. It's not like Die Hard or Die Hard 3, which are greater films. I can see those movies...2-3 times a year. I'm actually still excited to see them. Dark Knight...just collecting dust. I haven't really seen the Spider-Man movies in a while. But I like them.

Three Stooges looks funny only because the actors playing them nail the parts. The actually script though...probably be a meh movie, with a few laughs.

Yes, Prometheus.

The only movies I've given a 9 or higher on a scale of 1-10 that I can actually ''watch'' again are Die Hard, Die Hard 3, The Thing (1982). I dunno why I even have The Dark Knight on dvd.

Damn, I got served!

So it's from the 30's. That's not too dated.

You probably shouldn't waste money on "great movies" that you watch only three times a year.
