Thread Manager Ordeal - Discussion

I need volunteers for the Rebellion, I'm working to give us the power to defeat the Thread Manager, and save his brainwashed minions. We Will become The Mighty Hype'in Power Rangers! Yes, yes, it's been done, but we will each gain powers and costumes based on our favorite heroes, and we will be able to take down the thread Manager once and for all! So, who is with me!!!!????

Maybe I should've recruited in the PR thread :P

It will take a lot more than some silly costumes and name to defeat the power and might of The Thread Overlord!

You think you stand a chance against us? Do you know how many foes I've left beaten and broken in my wake?

The only way to beat Thread Manager is with a contradictory paradox. "You say that every thread that hits 1,000 posts must be deleted, but consider that you, Thread Manager have posted more than 1,000 times in each thread, therefore, you must delete yourself."

:funny: This killed me.

Very well then :o
As you wish.:yay:

That would be preferable, for you and your Rebel friends.

If you strike me down now, I shall become more powerful than you've ever imagined.

Okay so the number of foes you have beaten & left in your wake is zero then. They all happened in your dreams

kudos to PW for the obi wan reference
long live the rebellion :D

Heh, he quotes a Jedi who was killed immediately following said quote, how ironic. And is applauded by his brethren. Amusing.

Still, it is a fitting foreshadowing for this Rebellion of yours.

I log on this morning to find out we are back in the same mess as the other day. *Sigh*

For the record not one mod here knew this change was being re-installed nor do any of us endorse it, in fact we categorically hate it and disagree with it's implimentation.

We are all in the same boat here.

It's nice to know the mods fight for the users.

So I did some research. This is an Assassin News Exclusive.

Mirko was up one night watching tv. I believe it was around 2 am or so when he stumbled on an infomercial from Skynet Industries LLC about their new product "Thread Manager".

This new product promised to "reduce lag and speed up any internet message board load time". One example they showed was a chart from 2007 when the first The Dark Knight trailer was released. They then showed a new chart from that same time period with "Thread Manager" (simulated of course, this modern technology was not yet invented).

Mirko, now half asleep jumped out of his seat with joy. The price was 4 easy installments of $29.95. He wanted to wait until morning so he can discuss this with his fellow moderators but then they threw a curve ball..."Act now and we'll drop one installment"

He jumped for his phone and called and ordered it. This is why the moderation staff was not notified ahead of time.

After the initial setup and the uproar that followed, Mirko tried to remove this program. He tried everything but to no avail. The "bot" has already taken it's stand and started to invade the servers. He called the hot line and they told him to read the fine print...he was stuck with the menace known only as "Thread Manager" for a full year.

Mirko was upset, what has he done? How will his "Hypesters" react? Will they protest like the Egyptians? Then he remembered...Morg, the "Destroyer of Bots" (check his custom title if you don't believe me).

Morg went to work, he battled for hours, 10x longer than what it usually took to destroy this "bot" but he couldn't. He checked the package "Thread Manager" was shipped in, and noticed the sticker on the front..."Now With Morg Defender 5000!"

Mirko was disappoint.

:(

Drak and Bamf are now working day and night to rebuilt a new Morg, a newer, stronger Morg. More faster then ever before.

Stay tuned for episode II entitled "Morg The Borg Strikes Back" and Episode III "Revenge of the Hunter Rider"

Mee can you illustrate this into a comic for me?

Now I can't get the image out of my head of Mirko on his knees in his house, looking upwards and screaming, why hast thou forsaken me?

Cute, but aren't borgs consider bots? :oldrazz:

cyborg, half human half bot. to destroy them you must become one of them

Pfft... you know nothing of my people, do you? Weasels are tenacious, stubborn, relentless creatures, almost to the point of suicidal stupidity. We don't give up and we don't balk at larger, stronger foes. You can't stop me without killing me, and that won't be easy (particularly considering that this "war" is inherently non-violent and fought in the form of half-joking arguments for or against the implementation of the Thread Manager). :argh:

And this mindset is why you shall lose this war, because you are completely unprepared for what Thread Manager is capable of.
