edit.

At youtube, type in 'haboob' and watch the first video. The link I tried was broken.

Okay, well yeah, I love thunderstorms. I used to hate them. Now I love them.

Me to, I went through Hurricane Ike last Summer....it was wild. My dogs were great....I guess I stayed pretty calm, because they were cool through the entire storm. NOW, the "no electicity" afterwards sucked....

"No electricity" doesn't have to be a problem, with a little bit of friction in the right places you can generate some ;)

When we were kids and we got scared of a thunderstorm, my parents used to say to us "That's just God moving his furniture about".
It works. I recommend it to any poster's whose kids get scared around them.

I love em. God farted the other night and I enjoyed it with a nice smoke on my balcony.

Mm... Smoked farts. Wasn't that one of the new Walker's crisps flavours?

Yeah, along with shaved sack and disco fanny.

Not when its already 95 degrees......:csad: But point taken...

I sit out on the back porch and just chill. Covered porch of course.

I love thunder and lightning! The louder and brighter the better!

I like thunderstorms when there not busy destroying my items. I lost 3 TVs a couple N64's from back in the day and every other day my street gets hit by lightning as if Thor was standing outside or something. I now realize how useless surge protecters are and now just unplug my stuff when I hear that first rumble in the distance. Other then that there great to listen an relax to

One going outside right now! I've always enjoyed thunderstorms.

I'm waiting for that big thunderstorm to roll through this summer. I love watching them.

Aw, but they are beautiful to watch on the Great Plains....

I whole-heartedly agree. But you see, I live in a northwest suburb of Chicago. If we do get a strong storm/tornado, it is usually at night, which then means no visibility which is scarrrrrrrry.

I'm was in the middle of one this evening . We get really loud ones here in Pensacola

I understand, that was my fear with Ike last Summer.....the storm didn't really get going until about 6:00 p.m....so the eye was coming through in the middle of the night....thunder and lightning in a hurricane means tornadoes...when that started happening I spent most of my time on my balcony with ears open.

Tornadoes in hurricanes come in lower than in average super cells, therefore radar doesn't pick them up. In a hurricane you are on your own when it comes to detecting tornadoes....that was a little scary....:csad:
