That's excellent to hear. Buckets of blood sounds delightful and Helena Bonham Carter makes any movie awesome.

Perfect Christmas movie.

Just saw it, this movie was awesome. Perfectly crafted and oh so bloody.
I never saw the play, but it really is a great musical. I love just how much music there is and how interlaced it is with the story. Especially when just a few lines here and there in the normal dialogue is sung. It really works as a musical story and not just a story with random songs in it.

I wanted to see it til I saw that. :(

Amazing film. Depp is so incredible at what he does and his singing is just as good as his acting.

Great movie, one of the best of '07. The cast was brilliant and Burtonis back on his A-game.

Is it suitable for a sensitive female to see? :(

It's bloody, but the blood is so red that it's stylized. I don't know, it really depends on what your limit is. What gory thing have you watched that you couldn't take?

Most of the kills are quick and just a lot of blood spurting. But when he kills
the judge
it gets pretty brutal.

It's not like intestines and what not, it's purely just blood throughout the whole movie. Though there may be some shadowy shots of body parts. :cwink:

Saw, for instance. It's not just the blood, it's the circumstances. If it's a quick and relatively painless thing that's easier to take than someone being tortured or something. :( :( :(

I'd say there's 3 lingering deaths in the movie, the one's with meaning. The others are all quick and light hearted. The whole feeling of the movie is completely different than saw. This feels like art, saw feels like a snuff film.

Worst comes to worst, just look away for a second. But, this movie isn't meant to be scary, like Saw, so the atmosphere is no where near as unforgiving.

Great film!this is due to the superb cast they had.I especially loved sacha baron cohen's character as he was much needed humor in an insanely dark and stylized film.Overall I trully recommedn it but be warned that this is a full on musical the commercials just hint on the music so you may be shocked that the first line of true dialouge is like 20 minutes in the film as 90% of the film is singing.Plus you may be shocked at the Kill Bill like blood and gore.I was surprised by it the first time Sweeney slit a thorat but the rest of the time it is played out as very dark humor.

I would compare it to a slightly more blood filled Little Shop of Horrors.

I didn't have time to see it today :(

I'll probably see it tomorrow though.

Loved this movie so much. Such a tragic ending, made my heart sink so much.

My girlfriend was tearing up at the end, I almost did. :o

10/10

Fantastic film. I'll go into it further later.

My vote for best film of the year! I LOVED this film so much! Listening to the soundtrack as I type. I love the "Pirelli's Miracle Elixir" track.

good movie overall....

i loved the style and look of it, and the humor was great.
however the music wasnt memorable at all to me, and alot of it was repeated especially that stupid "i feel you, joanna" song, that became a joke after the first time, not sure if that was intended or not, but it was annoying as hell.
the cast couldnt sing to save their lives... except for the johanna girl.

8 out of 10... but my rating might change after a while, because i certainly think its a good movie but i wouldnt wanna watch it again, like sleepy hollow and most of tim burtons newer movies.

I agree SOME of Burtons NEW movies aren't that great but, I can watch Sleepy Hollow any day of the week. Now Planet of the Apes is a different matter. The fact that these actors aren't classically trained in musical theater, I'd say they sang very well. In fact this musical has some of the trickiest dialogue and musical cues on Broadway.
