How about the trilogy on current-gen consoles this year then?

New Battlefield and Titanfall games will launch during publisher Electronic Arts’ third financial quarter, and the E3 2015-announced

Mass Effect: Andromeda in its fourth financial quarter, company CFO Blake Jorgensen said during the Media & Telecom Conference at Morgan Stanley Technology yesterday.

That means the next Battlefield and Titanfall games will launch sometime between September 30 and December 31, 2016, while Mass Effect: Andromeda will launch sometime between January 1 and March 31, 2017.

“We’ve got a great year ahead,” Jorgensen said during the conference. “We’ve got our Battlefield first-person shooter game coming in the third quarter, and our third-party title that Respawn, our partner, built. It’s called Titanfall, it’s the second title that they brought into that brand.

Both of those are first-person shooters and will be targeted around the fast, action-driven shooter market, as well as the strategy-driven market in that quarter…

We have our Mirror’s Edge runner game this first quarter, and then we have Mass Effect, which is a sci-fi action game, in our fourth quarter. So big year ahead and we’re pretty excited.”

A Titanfall II announcement is likely to happen soon, if recent GameStop promotional preparations and online listings are anything to go by.

Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst is also mentioned as a first quarter title. Electronic Arts’ first financial quarter runs between April 1 and June 30. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst has already been dated for a May 24 release across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Thanks, NeoGAF.

it'll be announced as being delayed. I'd bet money on that. Makes no sense to release it in Oct or Nov with Battlefield out in late Oct

I'm surprised EA are releasing this and Battlefield 1 just 3 months apart.

Is mecha still a dirty word?
nope not any more after this and Xenoblade chronicles came out last year that's not the case anymore.

There's even a new Gundum game coming west, but sadly it's mostly on the vita while there is a ps4 Gundum game coming out it hasn't been stated it'll be coming west, yet. so I didn't bother with those for the time being due to those facts . other mech game the mech assault and battle tech revivals

Trailer for SP campaign, release date is October 28th, 2016

that looks rather generic and tacked on. Hope the final product doesnt dissappoint

Same, I don't really see "generic" at all. Glad it's available now for ps4.

I didnt see any interestingcharacters or a semblance of an intruging story. That SP trailer was generic and just hit up on many common FPS tropes

Fair enough, I'm just saying for me it wasn't generic. And it has me excited to play this game. I never played the first game because I have ps4, and I know the first was only MP. So for myself, this SP trailer got me hooked and has my attention.

I cannot contain my excitement about this. The multiplayer looks improved and streamlined in some places, the gameplay was never a problem, but the matchmaking, and weapon depth/unlockables was. You were given very little to play with and it really burned out quickly for me.

The campaign trailer is excellent, call me a sucker, but I really love the idea of the Titans having some form of AI, and I love the buddy buddy relationship this seems to be building up.

Day one for me, just hope that I'm playing it day 200 and forward.
