So what do you guys think of the new PM? Is he any good? Will he kiss Bush's ass like the last guy did or will he think for himself?

What do you think?

who cares, what about that bomb in london?

Gordon Brown the gruff blind in one eyed scotsman that nobody voted for.
The guy did a good job running the economey but I am still not sold on him being Prime Minister. I don't think he will kissing bush butt any time soon, him and blair are very different.

Yeah, I think Brown has the balls to walk up to Bush, tap him on the shoulder and say "Excuse me, but what do you think you are doing you warmongering prick?"

I was going up Regent street and Piccadilly Circus tomorrow as well. I hope its all cleared up by then. The whole bomb threat stuff doesn't worry me. Most Londoners are used to Bomb threats having had the Blitz, IRA and now extreamist terrorists trying to blow everyone up.

All I keep thinking off is the Doctor Who episode with Mr Saxon lol

No he said the same thing Blair did about Change, he wont be any better.

Brown will be a Great PM, he's a tough scotsman.

He's been in power for a day and 20 out of 23 cabinet jobs have already changed. Brown is very different to Blair and I doubt he will want anything to do with George Bush to the extent that Blair did.

Brown is not as limp as Blair and he won't kiss Bush's tush.

Thing is though, I think Blair actually believed he was doing the right thing for Britain in 99% of his decisions, Brown I can see being a guy who is out for his own agenda.

Why do they call it Piccadilly "Circus"?

On the subject of that bomb thing, hopefully they got it under control. It was all over every single news station over here this morning aorund 6am.

Piccadilly Circus is a famous traffic intersection and public space of London's West End in the City of Westminster. Built in 1819 to connect Regent Street with the major shopping street of Piccadilly (the "circus" refers to "circular open space at a street junction"), it now links directly to the theatres on Shaftesbury Avenue as well as the Haymarket, Coventry Street (onwards to Leicester Square) and Glasshouse Street. The Circus is close to major shopping and entertainment areas in a central location at the heart of the West End. Its status as a major traffic intersection has made Piccadilly Circus a busy meeting point and a tourist attraction in its own right.

Yeah, it's like the heart of the west end =D

I'm worried, do you think there's more car bombs round London, and they've only found this one?
Why are they picking on us? :(

hes not used to taking it up the rear, now is not a good time for him to start.

One of my customers from London called earlier asking about the iPhone thing and if we could send him one because he wasn't trying to stand in line at the store anymore because of the bomb issue. I told him we won't be offering it, and he got a tad upset. I wanted to tell him if the phone is that important, go stand in line and risk da bomb, but I clammed up. :o

the Apple stores on Regent Street and the bomb was down by Haymarket. The guy is far enough away that the bomb wouldn't of been a threat to him even if it went off. There is a small apple retailers up tottenhamcourt road anyway.
