Tony Blair to resign

Hmm, guess he recieved new orders from the reptilian king.

You know, I thought that the resignation of George W. Bush's biggest ally would have created more responses. And where the hell are the British and Irish Hypsters. kainedaimo?

Great news. Now we just have to somehow get the Americans to boot Bush Jr. and his puppets out of the office as well and all will be fine. :o:up:

This is truly shocking news. I can't believe he announced his resignation. How do English people feel about his suggested replacement?

Don't let you hopes up kid. George Bush is going to stay in office until January of 2009. And look at the bright side, he can't get elected AGAIN.

Also would you really want Dick Cheney as President :o

Yea I was thinking the same thing.:(

Good news. At least he's taking responsibilty for his incompetence, unlike a certain someone else.

I don't think that Blair is taking responsibility of his own incompetence. It's just that when your own party is revolting against you, you kinda have no choice but to resign

i'm really surprised that hasn't happened yet here.

Because the Republican Party is controlled by what we like to call "Bush Humping Neo-Cons." And George W. Bush is basically the leader of the Republican Party

And because the President is elected by the people and not by his own party like the Prime Minister, he wouldn't resign over an unhappy party.

I thought it was Labour
I meant is it more Liberal or conservative. U know...

I honestly wouldn't be suprised if the second Gordon Brown steps into office he announces a massive withdrawl of British Troops from Iraq. The Labour party is going down, fast...and it is because of this IRaq debacle. It is what killed Blair's tenure. Brown is going to have to do something to distance himself from Bush, and while I don't see a total withdrawl of British troops, I think there is going to be a massive cut back.

What will the results state-side be? Perhaps the English Muffin will become the Freedom Muffin?

that's why the dems need to take over congress in the upcomming elections, to eliminate the republican's all encompassing power over every branch of the government.

No one can top Freedom Fries!!!!!1!!!!111!!!
