Too Fat to be Executed. Awww....

No death penalty... great, more taxpayer dollars for inmates to live in prison!

Trust me 04nbod no one in this thread (or at least no American in this thread) will see the sense of what you just said, they will think you are (to use someone elses phrase) a "bleeding heart", with a bit of luck in a few years the US government will see sense and abolish the death penalty.

I don't give my opinion for approval. It human nature to want vengeance and an eye for an eye policy but we have to rise above that. If we murder people by law whats to stop say a man whose sister was killed and the culprit never came to justice taking it into his own hands. I know many would say good for him but what would his punishment be? there is another family who has lost someone. Its a cycle that neads breaking.

Hmmm, I might watch The Life of David Gale tonight.

Something else on that page:

The death penalty is much more expensive than life without parole because the Constitution requires a long and complex judicial process for capital cases. This process is needed in order to ensure that innnocent men and woman are not executed for crimes they did not commit, and even with these protections the risk of executing an innocent person can not be completely eliminated.

Oh yes, it's so much better to let the murderers live for decades in prison, eating three meals a day, getting fed and clothed and sheltered with taxpayers' money, and getting visits from their family, a whole long list of things they took from their victims. :whatever:

Let the punishment fit the crime.

Excercise him to death or find a really big safety pin and pop the ****er.

Seriously, stop coddling to "people" like this and give them what they deserve. Karma must take its course sooner or later.

Agreed.

Also, if one of these monsters gets terminal cancer, we have to pay for their medical treatmen.

I consider myself a left-leaning moderate, and I support the death penalty. Yes, those murderers may have some rights, but how about the rights they took away from their victims? If they don't want to be on the death row, then they shouldn't have killed people in the first place.

It's cheaper than executing them.

It does when you make it the basis of your factually incorrect argument.

It's cheaper than executing them.

That's not really the point. They took someone's life, but they get to go on living, being taken care of, fed, clothed, and sheltered, and visited by family.

Why should they make his death painless he obviously didn't have any trouble with causing pain to others. He knew what he was in for....Our goverment is so corrupted.

I wouldn't consider life in prison to be living.

Lethan injection ISN'T painless. It only looks painless. It's a lot easier for people to see someone killed that way than hanged, electrocuted, shot, or beheaded.

It's incredible you can say that, yet have John 3:16 in your sig. Incredible.

Um, they're still alive, and get a good deal of luxuries that they took from their victims. Did you know that some prisons, at least in New York, actually serve their inamtes higher qualities of foods (namely meat) to their inmates? I'd rather pay a little extra on my taxes to make sure that they get what they asked for than save a few bucks by keeping them alvie and stilll living, even if it isn't the most pleasant of conditions.

I'm not saying it is right or wrong; I am just going to say that discussion on whether it is right or wrong should have nothing to do with money.

You know what else they give out in prisons? Beat downs and rapes. You know, luxuries they took from their victims. Constant rape and shankings. What a luxurious place live for 60-70 years. We should vacation there and you know take part in the higher quality foods with a little rape for dessert.

Why not? You have to look at this issue from every angle.
