Toonami (good while it lasted)

I love that site.
About 2 years ago, I went there and downloaded just about all of the Toonami intros.

wow i guess you guys are from america you guys are lucky you still have toonami i mean toonami is gone in the uk now its called cartoon network too and its crap we dont get any good shows i have to watch bleach and naruto online becuase jetix is terrible for naruto and they dont show bleach becuase theyre idiots

I'm sorry, but the line-ups of the past were so great. Back then, Toonami had Dragon Ball Z, Tenchi Muyo, Tenchi Universe, Tenchi in Tokyo, Outlaw Star, Sailor Moon SS, Ronin Warriors, Gundam Wing, Mobile Suit Gundam, 08th Mobile Suit Team, G Gundam, Dragon Ball, Superman, Batman, Batman Beyond, Big O, Yu Yu Hakusho, ReBoot, The Real Adventures of Johnny Quest, Megas XLR, Robotech, Samurai Jack, Zoids, and a few others. Those were the shows of the glory days.

i put it can still be redeemed. Those shows you mentioned are some of the coolest animes shown on American TV.

There's no denying it. Toonami intros were the best.

Oh man, I have most of the Toonami intros saved on my computer (and the Moltar ones). The DBZ Intro 4 (Trunks - Cell Games sagas) was my favorite of all of them.

Toonami had some really cool promos. Here are three of them:

I remember as a kid going to school to talk about all the yesterdays episodes of all those show. We use to play gundam wing all the time at the pull. We'd all choose our fave undam and then pretend to fight each other. I was always heavyarms, and everyone would say im cheating cus I would just keep shooting them and they would all say I should be out of ammo by now. good times good time. I miss the old days of watching good cartoons during the week. I feel really old though. I rmember when the show at Moltar. I also miss awesome tom I hate this new one, and that damn naruto. I swear if I see another kid at my school wearing a headband im going to kill them.

Loved those promos Warhammer. Though I rember having to snap my self out of trances watching them as a child. The only thing competing with them is classic adult swim promos.

^^ I love FMA. Hands down the best anime of all time (IMO).

Anyway, I loved Toonami too. Back in the day when it was Sailor Moon, Reboot, DBZ and Gundam Wing (my favorite) as the line up was awesome. I quit watching around the time of the end of the Bhuu saga though. Albeit, I've seen clips of it since then and they've just ruined Tom and the bloc, but I guess Adult Swim made up for it. It used to be just a few awesome shows that late (Batman: TAS, Gundam Wing uncut alternated with 08th MS Team, 0080, Cowboy Beebop uncut alternating with Outlaw Star) those were the days.

Wowzer, how did I ever forget that Toonami intro? 08th Mobile Suit Team was one of my favorites. Btw, contrary to popular belief, I am 95% sure that Cowboy Bebop never showed on Toonami.

yeah its pretty much the same for me Toonami started the DBZ thing for me, but naruto made me actualy start searching for anime

dbz made me interested in anime as a whole, but before then i had watched anime w/o realizing it, ala sailormoon and just though it was just another cartoon. dbz made me actually learn what anime was all about, and even newcomers like one piece and naruto have the edge in plot development and especially animation, dbz still and always hold a special place in heart as being "my first real anime love"

After DBZ, Ruroni Kenshin, YuYu Hakusho, JL and JLU ended their runs Toonami became garbage. If they can build decent anime around Naruto maybe they can resurrect it.
