Top 5 U.S. cities you would move to if u could live anywhere

For the love of god why?
I live here and this place is all kinds of crappy, actually every shade of crap.

A buddy and I stopped in Richmond last year on a road trip. He knew someone there and she took us on a tour of the city. I liked the feel of the city. I'm a history geek so the Confederate cemetery and the generally old feel of the city was cool. Gotta admit, I didnt care for the humidity, though.

For me, the ultimate would be New York. I love it there.

I honestly dont get how you can love New York! Everything is crazy over there. Dont get me wrong, I like visiting there but I cant see wanting to live there. Same goes for Boston.

I don't know how people can live in RI, slow, small, not much to do. First time I drove into Providence I burst out laughing at how small it was, I thought it was a town that was near the city, not the actual city itself.

Haha. It's not that crazy hey. When you travel a bit it's all in context mate. Plus it suits my lifestyle and what I do for a living.

I'd love a home out in the country, but a high rise apartment in New York City would make me a very happy man.

I don't have a high rise in NY. It's sort of a fantasy created by TV, I like most New Yorkers live in a house, not an apartment or high rise.

I'd move to toronto, actually...but since we have to choose u.s cities, I guess NYC

It's not a fantasy, I have friends who live in high rise/apartments who I've stayed with while in NYC. I've been there several times, which is what I'm basing my opinion on ;).

The same Flannigan's where they took a dump on my dad's car? Yeah, I try to stay away from there.

I'd have to say...

New York City, New York
Daytona Beach, Florida
Chicago, Illinois
Hilton Head, South Carolina
Washington, DC

I'll have to think about a fifth...

My family and I have vacationed there many times. Very nice area, though I could never live there.

Yeah, it's definitely a great area. I have a cousin that lives there and he really seems to enjoy it. (Everything is SO expensive though!)

Honolulu, Hawaii - for the hula girls! :awesome:

How is it crazy? It's just fast-paced, which suits me just fine. My list is decidedly short because I currently live in Denver, Colorado, which I've been told is the FOURTH largest city in the U.S. That gives me a grand total of 3 options, and when all's said and done, I'll likely be moving back to New York City, where if I feel like getting a bagel at 3am, I can.

1. San Francisco, Ca
2. Carmel-by-the-Sea, Ca
3. Mountain View, Ca
4. Oceanside, Ca
5. Walnut Creek, Ca

I could never seriously consider living outside this sate. And I loved visiting New York but don't think I could live there. Too many foreigners.

Yeah, um, people have accents no matter where they're from. Just so you know.

The problem in NY is people speak english as their 5th language (if they speak it at all) so I can't understand a word of it.

So? With that many people in New York, you don't have to talk to 99% of them. I sure as hell didn't.
