Remember this Sean Astin and Louis Gossett, Jr. movie?

I saw it yesterday after 10-15 years and i really enjoyed it. And also it got me thinking: they should do a modern hi-tech remake.. It can be a cool looking action movie. Maybe get Joe Carnahan to direct it?

Anyone remember the movie?

I don't think a movie like that would be made today. It had an interesting premise and I always wanted to watch it but never got around to it.

I remember seeing this in the theatre when I was in middle school. I enjoyed it and have it on DVD. I watched it a few years back and it was still entertaining.

Jerry Orbach as the mobster dad. That movie had so much win!

I saw this in the movie theater and the projector died halfway through the movie - right at the scene when they were about to shoot the 5 kids when the headcount came up short. They couldn't get it fixed, so they gave us free passes and we came back to see it again the next day.

Great movie, though.
