Anyone else miss the days when you got one trailer and watched the movie without knowing much about it? What makes it even worse is they put out up to 3 trailers. It has really ruined my experience at the movies.

Sony is trying something new. something that can backfire if it becomes popular.

i already see comments on the internet that since the ticket prices are so high everything should be spoiled and shown in promo trailers to make a decision . to watch it or not.

i miss build ups in trailers. where you start with a tease and end on something big. a big problem is also that at least 50% of action scenes are written or created to be used for trailers. a lot of times they dont make sense in the context of the movie. like they were inserted just to be used in trailers and tv spots.

Godzilla had some great trailers building hype, though the last one showed a bit too much, and then there were all the teasers and clips spoiling scenes.

No one is forcing anyone to watch every trailer and dig up information. People could still go in blind to movies if they wanted to.

I personally only seek out the first look(superbowl spots for example) and one trailer. I'll never understand people wanting to ruin things for themselves.

The TF and Avengers films for example are about 14x times better if you see all those visuals for the first time in the moment. I should take my own advice and only seek out those first looks.

For myself, three trailers is perfect.

1). Teaser
2). Character trailer
3). Action & Story trailer

Just right for me.

I miss the day where you had to go to the theater to see a trailer and we didn't have the internet to see them at any time. Anyone remember going to see The Water Boy to see TPM TRAILER?
