Training Day series in development at CBS

Looks better than I was expecting and with an interesting twist on the movie's premise, of course it didn't need to be called Training Day to tell this story. Good to see more of Katrina Law though.

The pilot was pretty good, I like the dynamic between Frank and Kyle, the production values are of a good quality, the action was solid and Katrina Law is cool.

I was back and forth on this series but wasn't ready to give up on it. The leads were fine, especially Bill Paxton who just died of heart surgery which effectively cancels the series.

I always liked Paxton.

I feel for the cast and crew involved in the show as well as Paxton's family.

I was was this series from the beginning. and when it first and the day after that when my youngest sister told me the series is already on it ways to be cancelled, cause the numbers weren't good on it first episode . The show is cray cray though they showed female assassin shoot a bolt from a crossbow at his character in park filled with kids ages 7 and possiblely aged lower. There's no way that cross bow bolt shouldn't have hit some one randomly in that park .

and he told his partner to shoot a criminal in club with people between them and still said he should have done so in episode 3 even though his partner had bad experience during his time as Marin in Afghanistan for not checking out the building before firing and killing hostages in that place a combatant was hiding. that's what i mean by cray cray.

I'm not sure if this series would have had a second season.

Anyway Paxton was still having fun with the role. So he'll be missed. the man was 60 but his character was stated in the show to be dancing towards 50's. . I share my condolence

Really sad news about Bill Paxton, how many eps did he film?

He filmed all 13 episodes.

But this paired with the mediocre ratings, this show is a goner.

they said he finished the season but it's short one as far as season go . and as I and primal slayer said the rating weren't good from the start.

also also weird that he's the second guy on cbs to di this year . the other being of both NCIS (ll Cool j's and Chris O'donald show la and crossing Jordan fame. he was playing Assistant director Granger in the former current series I just mentioned .

Miguel Ferrer but he had a terminal cancer diagnosis no one outside of the studio knew of apparently.
