I think those that are annoyed by this don't realise that primes go into the matrix once they die. Sam did this as he was holding it.

Get over it

I loved Transformer heaven! I had no problem with it at all. Although it did inspire a smirk and side-eye from my sister!

he wasn't in the TF heaven right? he was just having again a vision but now with the Primes right?

you know when Bay always has sunflares in hes movies and glowing and smoke. i think this TF ''heaven'' was the first time where Bay's style worked 100%

I don't think they were in Transformer heaven either but part of the matrix to be able to choose who is worthy to use its power. If they were Transformer gods in Transformer heaven, they could do godly acts like revive Optimus without making a scrawny boy do it. If Fallen had powers, I am sure they had/have powers as well.

I liked the scene. His consciousness interacted with the Matrix and he saw the past Primes. And because of his actions throughout the Movie and selfless act, he was worthy to possess the Matrix.

I like that one line, how does it go again? "The Matrix of Leadership isn't found, it is earned."

I didnt really like how Optimist Prime just blew up the matrix. It would have been better if he had to fight past both megatron and the Fallen to pull the matrix out. Cause isnt that supposed to be in Primes chest anyway? Or is that some other matrix of leadership?

Thats how i interpreted too! I liked that scene. The Primes were awesome!

Thats the G1 Matrix. The Bayverse is influeced by G1, but its not G1.

Maybe it isn't destroyed. We're talking about a device here that can turn into dust and then reform again with it's power core still intact. I would like to see it return only to get the classic line "Light our darkest hour."

I thought it was that Sam dies or "really passes out", and like The Fallen, the Primes entered his mind and talked to him. He wakes up because he's worthy and yada yada yada

That's what I think

In the comics and show, The Matrix does like 12 different things. Like the Allspark in the movie. It has no set power level, and it sort of just does whatever the plot requires.

I actually don't mind Prime blowing up the Matrix. There was a point in lore where he rendered the Matrix useless to save the universe.

There's also a sort of afterlife inside it in some versions.

Here's, it's a combination of these, not just the key to the Suneater.

So lemme get this straight: No one should complain because there's an aspect of the mythology outside the actual movie that answers this, a mythos that's been reinterpreted in the films when it actually factors into the movie plots?

I don't have an issue with the sequence you described, but that's a pretty big logical fallacy on your part.

It seems pretty obvious that what was happening was connected with the Matrix. Let's face it, audiences will either buy "Robot Heaven" or they won't.

I buy Transformers Heaven, though I find it a bit hard to believe Le Beouf found his way into it. But the Primes mentioned he was destined to save Optimus with the Matrix of Leadership, so it's not that big a deal to me.

Prime keeps destroying the relics that can give energy and life to his race doesnt he? He is a bonehead. He could have destroyed the machine but saved the matrix.

in the first movie they made it very clear. they rather destroy the allspark because someday a decepticon could get it.

With the Allspark, it's understandable. Megatron wanted to use it to create robots and enslave the universe. Between letting it fall into his hands or sending it away, Prime chose the latter. Ultimately, there was no choice but to destroy it. The Matrix was already inside the machine, which was about to drain the Sun with Megatron and the Fallen protecting it. That's one of those on-the-fly decisions leaders occasionally have to make. Plus, it could've easily lead to future shenanigans if the Decepticons ever got a hold of it.

It could have been executed better. There could have been a "decision moment" where Prime postulates on what to do, but the basics work.

I think it's pretty obvious in these films that Prime feels his race has doomed itself in the long run, on multiple levels. He wants the Earth to avoid paying for the Transformers mistakes, and that's his motivation for doing most of what he does.
