Greetings,

As most of you can see I am not a newbie by any means, however, I am a huge Transformers fanatic and I'm eagerly anticipating what Michael Bay is trying to accomplish.

I don't know if it's true or not, but are they still going to focus more on the humans than the Transformers? If that is the case then it won't be a Transformers movie for me. I'll still see it and I'm not going to bash it; what makes the Transformers unique is that they're very much human themselves to an extent. They're not human to the literal extent obviously, they're human in a sense that we care about them deeply.

My question to everyone is, would you like to see the storyline from Transformers: The movie brought into the fold as well? Maybe have Optimus die in the third film? It was very emotional, haunting, and powerful with the animated movie.

His death resulted in Kupp, Hot Rod(Later to become Rodimus Prime), Ultra Magnus, Arcee, and The Dinobots becoming stronger and becoming leaders in their own way.

I don't know how they would go about it, although I'd love to see them adapt it into a future sequel. Prime would be portrayed faithfully in the first two films as a strong, powerful, stern, and intelligent leader.

Do you believe they should adapt the Transformers: The Movie concept into a future sequel?

If this is the wrong place to ask this question, then feel free to move it to another Transformers forum domain.

Personally, if they do the whole death of Optimus story, I think Bumblebee should be groomed into the new leader. Hot Rod was cool. Rodimus sucked. I just like the idea of Bumblebee as the reluctant leader.

Bumblebee would have to be built up for that to happen. As far as I can remember he never really did much in the cartoons.

Then again, I was never a fan of Bumblebee. Maybe they could introduce Ultra Magnus to take over? I just hope they break away from the human condition, and eventually move towards focusing on the machines themselves.

The problem with AVP is that the characters themselves don't evoke any kind of emotions. I don't really think you can do an AVP without some sort of human race included.

The Transformers, on the other hand, are very human in a different sense and can carry a film without any form of human actors involved. I just hope they move into that direction in the future.

I would definitely LOVE to see the death of Optimus Prime used in a storyline.

My idea/vision would be to save it until the third film, a film that could introduce Unicron and possibly lead to the creation of Galvatron and the other Decepticons. Yes it's a trying task and very complicated to pull off, however, it can be done with the full attention of a capable director and a wonderful special effects team.
