I really love the whole concept of transformers and how badass everything is but theres one thing that has always bothered me. And that was the heavy cheesy/campy humor through out the movie. I mean some humor is ok but the first transformers just went over board. I couldnt even take the movie seriously for one second. So, I just really hope Bay tones down the cheesy humor so that I can actually enjoy the movie.

Nonsense! Besides the fact that IMO Transformers as a concept is the definition of cheese, I thought most of the gags in the first one were hilarious! If anything, I say MORE one liners and *********ion jokes!

Half. I was exagerating a bit, but I did find most of gags at least smirk-worthy. I don't wanna see more, but I certainly dont want the humor to go away. I liked it. t:

The fact of the matter is the humour is one of the reasons the movie was so successful. Odds are T2 will be a comedy for the first half and then go all Empire Strikes Back in the second half. (With any luck).

Did you ever even watch the cartoon? There was FAR more cheese there and in the cartoon movie than the last film even thought to have.

Why? it was the TYPICAL summer movie. People liked it because it was fun. That includeds awesome action, cool cars to look at, humor, etc.

I hope they make transformers 2 a lot more serious too though.

Watch any incarnation of Transformers, from G1 to Beast Wars to the latest show. And read the comics as well, as mature and dark as they got they still incorporated goofy wink-wink jokes just as often.

I can name the ones that attempted to be gags. I honestly didn't find the that funny, I just know alot of other people who did.

- Uncle Bobby B and his Mammy

There are lots. And a lot of people liked them.
