Not bad. This is gonna have to wait tho with with Arkham Asylum coming out tomorrow.
Anyone else a little disappointed with the DLC? I paid $10 for this, and it doesn't appear to be as in-depth as was advertised. I can't find Sideswipe anywhere as a playable character, and half of the character skins only work on certain levels. I've beaten the game but it doesn't allow me to replay as all of the new characters for some reason.
So far I'd say the DLC is a waste of money. It's just not worth the hassle.
I got the DLC, and although it sux that I can't pick all the new characters in every MP games I play
I honestly can't answer that. I've been so lazy this month, I have barely played anything. I just today started playing the game again and I've only stuck to SP today, because my skills went to hell. But I know you'll always find someone to play and that won't quit on the TFW2005 boards.
Jazz and Soundwave are the best!!
Sure (get ready for some puns):
1. Loners will be shot on sight
Don't use Soundwave as a gun-ho character. It's not his style. His weapons will slow enemies down, but they aren't powerful enough to allow you to take on a whole team with little worry.
2. There's strength in numbers
Keep close to your teammates. This is where Soundwave can shine. Since his weapons can slow people down, it's best to exploit this perk while your with a teammate or two. Shoot at a foe a couple of times to slow them down, then let your team finish them off.
3. You'll get by with a little help from your friends
Your AoE pods are your trump cards. They don't only cause respectable damage, but they can also be used as distractions.
-Laserbeak (Vehicle-deployed AoE pod): The best of the two. Laserbeak is deployed in vehicle mode and once out will rain little lasers of death on your enemies while revealing their locations. It's best to unleash him high up in the air. As high as you can go. The constant attacks will cause one or two of your enemies to focus on destroying Laserbeak before your team. This is a good chance to attack.
-Rumble (Robot-deployed AoE pod): This one's a bit trickier to strategically place. When deployed, Rumble will continuously pound the ground, sending a shockwave out a certain distance that will both damage and slow down opponents. Try not to deply him in open areas. It makes him an easy target and easier to avoid. It's best to put him in tighter areas that are traveled alot. It'll make him harder to avoid. Also hide him around corners. Once the enemy finds out where he is, it'll be too late to avoid him.
So, is anyone still playing this? With the 3rd Movie in theaters, I got in the mood for a bit of Transformers action again. I'm not going to watch it though and I doubt I'll buy the movie-tie in unless the price drops. And I've heard that the gameplay is better in ROTF anyway.
Played some online matches again and was surprised to see that there are still more than enough people playing it to have full matches.
My copy of War for Cybertron has been collecting dust for a while. Maybe I should get back into it. Too bad it doesn't have some Grindor like Transformer. I love using him in ROTF.
I played Dark of the Moon (review in my signature), and my advice to anyone looking for a transformers game is to spend their money on last year's War for Cybertron instead.
