The Last Knight Transformers:The Last Knight Official Thread

I really don't like any Bay's Transformers but the Big Game Spot looks very good.

Sort of. It's presumed the Creators retrieve his unconscious body (as seen in the first trailer) and manipulate him into doing their deeds with dark Energon, hence the purple eyes.

Although, with this recent TV spot, it seems Optimus' motivations might be more different than we realize.

Got it. Thanks!

Also, if the dialogue between said female and Optimus isn't spliced from different scenes, she could turn out to be Solus Prime.

A lot of peeps over at the TFW2005 forums seem to think so.

I don't agree at all. Dark of the Moon is right up there with Revenge of the Fallen for worst.

Why would you rank Dark of the Moon that low? I agree that it's a bad film, but it had the most impressive set pieces out of all the movies so far. It was clear that Bay realy was trying to make his best film in the franchise. Not to mention that the main villain actualy was slightly interesting, a lot of the twists when it comes to the human plot actualy made sense and the Decepticon were the most threatening.

I don't realy get how some can put Dark of the Moon on the same level as 2 and 4. Almost every scene in those films was badly written and constructed. The 3rd film had a lot of bad elements, but i could point to it not only having the best cinematography in the franchise, but also having some scenes that actualy were very well crafted (the intro scene with the moon launch).

One of the big reasons I like Dark Of The Moon is because of Sentinel Prime. Great villain, imo, and Leonard Nimoy brought a real gravitas to the role.

That spot was simply awesome! Bumblebee vs Optimus looks epic, but I do wonder why it's only BB taking him on and why the rest of the autobots aren't helping. This looks great though, I have enjoyed all of these movies to varying degrees.

Because they need to show more of Bumblebee down our throats and him kicking Prime's butt because overpowered.

I wonder if this will truly be Bay's final in the franchise. When Age of Extinction came out, it suposedly was the first in a new trilogy. Not sure if plans for the story structure stranged a lot since the writers room phase, but it would make sense for Bay to finish this new trilogy too.

Bay's already come out and said so, though he's done this two times before, so I'm very dubious at the moment.

For me he may as well do one more after this. He started these storylines, he may as well finish them.

Bay is way too passionate (spelling?) to give this up, I've seen it in T3 and now in T5. He gets a bad rap, but in the end, he's a good guy.

Nice to see Grimlock back in for another movie, I wonder if he'll get a speaking roll this time? Do we know of any other Autobots other than Bee and Prime that are in the movie?

There's Crosshairs, Drift and Hound from the previous film. The only Autobot newcomer I can remember at the moment is Hot Rod, said to have a french accent.

the extended spot is online already.... as I suspect it's a leak, I'm not going to link it in but a basic sense of YouTube-Fu can find it.

not much new TBH, two new scenes (One is bloody awesome) and one updated from the first trailer.

The Ark! Continuity for the win! :woot:
And yep, looks like the dialogue between the female narrator and Optimus isn't spliced from two different scenes like some people thought.

Seeing the newer footage and hearing the various theories online gave me an interesting theory regarding the character of Squeeks:

While we don't know for certain, it does seem more likely in the extended TV Super Bowl Spot Optimus is conversing with a female entity he refers to as "My Maker". Some have theorized that this female entity very well could be Solus Prime, one of the 13 original Primes.

One of the more notable things in Solus Prime's possession is the Forge, a relic of magic and science in some continuities, which can basically be used to make anything. Some users on the TFW2005 boards have speculated that the hammer Bumblebee wields against Optimus in the new spot could be the Forge of Solus Prime.

As far as what this has to do with Squeeks, one particular piece of info referred to Squeeks being unable to transform completely due to being damaged for some reason, and that Isabella Moner's character is a welder and is constantly trying to fix him. It was also said that his character at some point in the film has a really great character moment where he really shows what he can do. But, if he can't transform completely, how does he do this?

Well, taking all this info into account, I think at some point in the film, Squeeks' gets repaired by the Forge of Solus Prime (either by taking it or Isabella somehow using it to fix Squeeks, since she fixes things), and his big heroic moment in the film is him transforming to his full bot form and saving the day in some form or fashion. What he does, I don't know.

What do you think?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, as much as I love the Bayformers movies as over-the-top action films, I do think it's time to hand this series over to another director.

Seeing [BLACKOUT]the Forge Of Solus Prime hammer and the character herself would blow my mind.[/BLACKOUT]. Especially after playing and loving Transformers Devastation, and that hammer was the most powerful Melendez weapon in the game.

Even people are exploding now in Bay's movies.

I hope this is better than the last one because I literally fell asleep watching it...and I cut Bay a lot of slack for the first three movies.

looks like it's officially up now.... Bay's youtube page has posted it in 4K

Does anyone have any idea what's going on in this film?
