The Last Knight Transformers:The Last Knight Official Thread

Does anyone have any idea what's going on in this film?

I really like that the plot so far has been concealed for the most part. We know a few things, but in regards to others people are simply theorizing.

Here's basically what we know so far:

Humans and Transformers are at war. Something happens to Optimus in space in his quest towards the Creators. They find his body and reprogram him into a variation of Nemesis Prime to serve as a harbinger of death. One of his makers is female and may or may not turn out to be Solus Prime. Either a dead Cybertron, Quintessa, or Unicron is heading towards Earth. Questions about the Transformers's history with Earth will be answered.

While we don't know for certain, it does seem more likely in the extended TV Super Bowl Spot Optimus is conversing with a female entity he refers to as "My Maker". Some have theorized that this female entity very well could be Solus Prime, one of the 13 original Primes.

One of the more notable things in Solus Prime's possession is the Forge, a relic of magic and science in some continuities, which can basically be used to make anything. Some users on the TFW2005 boards have speculated that the hammer Bumblebee wields against Optimus in the new spot could be the Forge of Solus Prime.

As far as what this has to do with Squeeks, one particular piece of info referred to Squeeks being unable to transform completely due to being damaged for some reason, and that Isabella Moner's character is a welder and is constantly trying to fix him. It was also said that his character at some point in the film has a really great character moment where he really shows what he can do. But, if he can't transform completely, how does he do this?

Well, taking all this info into account, I think at some point in the film, Squeeks' gets repaired by the Forge of Solus Prime (either by taking it or Isabella somehow using it to fix Squeeks, since she fixes things), and his big heroic moment in the film is him transforming to his full bot form and saving the day in some form or fashion. What he does, I don't know.

What do you think?

In movie-verse, there are 7 primes. Fallen is one of them.
In original story, there are 13 primes indeed, Fallen is one of the 13 then betrays them to side with Unicron againt Primus.

So Primus/Unicron are the originals transformers, and creators. In movies we dont know who are the creators.

The Quintessons I am guessing, who were the creators in the cartoon and some of the comics.

Why would Solus Prime reprogram Optimus to do that?

In newer Transformer continuities Earth is tied to Cybertron. In Transformer's prime, Earth was essentially Unicron. It was also full of dark energon. In the War for Cybertron series Shockwave scanned Earth, and found it was energon rich. Since the Bay films pull a bit from different continuities, and this film is saying there's a connection inbetween the two planets, maybe it's something tied to that. I mean no Unicron being Earth, if Unicron shows up in a Bay movie, it's going to be a huge version of him causing lots of explosions. Which he'd destroy the planet if he tried to stretch if that were the case, lol.

I just mean maybe Earth has ties to Cybertron in it's origin. Maybe something is buried deep in it, or is a part of it that the creators (Quintessons, Solus Prime, whichever) need. I still want Unicron, so it'd be great if it were something like an important part of Unicron was in the Earth, and the creators need it to awaken him. Sadly Galvatron ended up being a bust as I'd rather him, plus an armada with Scourge, and Cyclonus coming to Earth to do their will instead of a reprogrammed Optimus. We already had one movie with him largely absent.

I want Dark Optimus vs Galvatron, not only Optimus vs Autobots

What will decepticons do in this ????

The Last Knight on IMDB has Gemma Chan (Humans TV show, Fantastic Beasts..) as a character named 'Quintessa'.

Heard her voice. Sounds suspiciously similar to the one talking to Optimus in the promos, imo.

i just wonder how could OP turn dark

In the comics a number of Prime's have been turned bad from outside forces in the past. The Fallen, Nova Prime being just 2. There are a number of ways they can explain it, but I imagine the Quintessons will have something to do with it.

Speaking of the forge of Solus Prime (previous page), but just noticed the weapon Bee uses against Optimus looks just like it -

About 40 seconds in.

Also, just wishful thinking, but this reminds me of Unicron's horn -

In the original G1 cartoon too. After the movie where Optimus dies, the Quintessons get his body, and reprogram him to try and kill the autobots. He ends up fighting Rodimus. In the end he snaps out of it, and sacrifices himself to save the others. It's similar to the premise of this movie. The creators find him, and sick him against the autobots.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're following that particular storyline, or something similar.

They have the exact same design for the Forge in the Transformers Devastation game, I use it as Prime's main weapon as it's the most powerful on the game.

Ah yes of course, it will probably be that storyline they follow.

But this time unless they edited it weird, he's aware of what he's doing but can't stop it.

This is someone elses theory, and I'm not 100% on it, but they noted Optimus looked more greyed out floating in space, and back to color in the Bee fight. So maybe Optimus died when he ran out of energon, and he was only partially brought back. Reprogrammed, the reactivated enough for him to recognized people, but still under the creators control.

I've seen the argument that Optimus could legit be siding with the creators. He basically destroyed Cybertron to save humanity, then humans hunt autobots down. Plus in Age of Extinction he did kill Kelsey Grammer. However, Optimus is still Optimus. He's loyal to a fault, and was pissed at the creators. I don't see him willingly turning bad guy. Let alone him trying to kill Bee.

Also seeing theories that Megatron got the same power up as Optimus from the prison ship when Optimus freed the dinobots. Given his big ass Claymore, I think that's a given. That he'll end up helping beat Optimus, and Bee gets the Matrix. Makes sense with Bee's upcoming solo flick. My problem is Optimus helps make the movies. Having to wait through 1.5 Transformers movies without the big bot might be painful. It shakes things up, but I'm not sure Bee alone can carry the franchise.

I don't think Peter Cullen would even allow Optimus to die as a villain, if he has to die.

I hope not either. Maybe he would just be gone for the Bee solo flick. It's just theories though. Optimus already died once in the Bay-verse. I'd rather they not repeat that.

To go with what you said, he wasn't happy with Optimus's darker personality in AoE either.

Ironically I actually think that, in comparison to all of the movies, that Optimus' anger was justified in Age Of Extinction. He and his friends were being hunted down by the people they protected over the course of three previous cataclysmic events. That had to have a negative effect on him.

One of the few things I like about that movie, actually.

And can we at least get Will Freidle to voice Bumblebee if he has to go solo? A whole film of him just being mute and deadpan snarking via radio clips is not gonna cut it.

Yes. Yas. Yus.

Will Freidle is awesome. Mah bros Terry and Ron.

i think the nxt trailer will be attach to ghost in the shell on march 30

They are the creators of the Transformers so probably know their inner workings better than the Transformers themselves.

I think that will happen as well. Bee will get the Matrix at the end and Optimus will sacrifice himself to stop Unicron or whoever the villain is. I think the Matrix will turn Bumblebee into Goldbug for his solo movie.
