As someone who knows nothing really about Transformers...
The 1st teaser intrigued me, this one even more so. I love the use of the sound used and the cg looks pretty good. Im excited, its now up there on my must see list. Then again I dont hate Bay so...

What with all the Micheal Bay hate, Michael Bay's movies have the same depth if not more than the original cartoon.... This will probably be good, since it's impossible to **** up, all you need is huge robots fighting each other.

Bull ****. Sorry, a lot of people myself included ask a little more from our movies. It certainly can be ****ed up, and most likely will with Michael Bay involved.

This could work...certainly...with a competent director that is. A good director can take the worst or least inspired source and turn it into a masterpiece. Ever heard of a movie called Jaws?

I love Michael Bay's movies,when i want some kickass action at it's best i go to his DVD's,that's enough for me and i prefer him over some of the types that have been making these movies of late

I loathe them. Pearl Harbor is what made me hate the man. He took a tragedy and turned it into a mindless action film with ridiculous unrealistic action pieces and a tacky, cliched love triangle. It was disrespectful to the men and women who went through the tragedy.

His movies are all the same. He can't tell a story, he throws it at you and overwhelms the narrative with his overindulgence. We do not need to see 300 shots of an explosion, nor do we need the camera to whip around everything.

He's much more interested in showing off than making a movie.

The helicopter ambush sequence looks pretty cool, but will that type of scene be enough to make up for the sure-to-be-sucky script and the needless conceptual changes to the better-known Transformers?

Doubtful.

I also thought the tone was very epic feeling and it's now in my top 5 for 2007

Looks awesome, but I still have doubts.

Honestly, Bay can only do action scenes. His movies don't have good enough scripts, what makes me more doubtful about TF's quality.

Anyway, I'll check it out.
