I know there is a Transformers thread somewhere but i couldn't fin it. Also its late. So i'll just make a thread and be doen with it. Only those who are 80' cartoon fans will like this or die hard Transformers fans. Peter Cullen was the original voice in the cartoon seies of the autobot leader Optimus Prime. He was annonced at comicon as teh voice for Prime in the up coming Micheal Bay live action version of Transformers.

Can't wait for next summer to hit.

Captain Jack.
Shrek.
Harry Potter.
Ben Grimm .
And now the big man himself Optimus Prime.

Does Prime still look Stupid in the new film?

Hopefully they will bring in all of the original cartoon voice actors for the live action movie. Frank Welker will have to be brought in to do the Megatron voice. How many transformers will be appearing in the movie? The name Megatron has always sounded like a good guy & then the name Optimus Prime has always sounded like a bad guy. I was never that big of a fan of the show so I never learned most of the characters names or abilities. I did know that the one who transforms into a semi was a good guy but I always thought that his name was Megatron.

Megatron's the evil leader of the Deceptacons

Optimus prime is the great leader of the Autobots

prime's alternate form is a Cabover Semi in the toon. in the movie it's some long-nose truck with flames painted on it... bleh.

Megatron's alternate form is a big gun. in the movie he might be a jet or a tank. i hope it's a tank.

Can't wait for Transformers, as well as Summer 2006.
A good movie almost every week.:D

...I'm going to spend alot of money next year on tickets. :(

Given that Frank Welker has never turned down any offer for voice work, I think it's a pretty safe bet he'll be reprising his role as Megatron.

Damn right he is!

Any guy that voices the Gremlins, Megatron AND Malebolgia is cool in my book!

Finally something good I hear about Transformers.

Transform and Roll Out!!!

2007 is going to be the best summer for movies that the world has ever known.

As great as that news is, we still have one of the biggest hacks and cliche-mongers in Hollywood directing this.

I think this casting decision had more to do with calming the frenzied masses than anything else. Word is bad on this so far, and gets worse with every pic or news item that leaks out. This casting decision is an attempt at a pacifier.

Relax the movie does not come out until July 4th 2007. Its way to early to judge cgi pics from almosta year away. YOu guys are forgetting that Spielberg is a producer here and well he produces like Lucas does. He will be involved and he knows sci fi. Give them a chance before you trash amovie that has special effects tuning this early in the movie.

Well to make up for this debacle year? LOL

Eh for me it was last year with Star Wars and Batman or you can even go back with Star Wars, Spiderman and LOTR.
