How awesome would it be if we get a DVD/Blu-ray Commentary with all three actors being in-character as the actors who themselves are in-character?

Does anyone else feel like RDJ's character had an eery similarity to Heath Ledger

1. The opening trailer about the Monks was obviously a spoof of brokeback mountain
2. The extreme method acting
3. Both are Australian actors

In Entertainment Weekly Jack Black was saying Robert downey Jr. would stay in character between takes . Lol , That had to be awesome set to be on . The dvd commentary will be great if they are all on it .

How were you "disappointed"?... You gave the film a "7/10", which is in no way a bad score. Well, I figure that people like you are so used to giving a film "10/10" that "7/10" just isn't enough.

i didn't want to say that because i'd get bashed by the tropic thunder fans,be aware its just my opinion,
my verdict is that i wouldn't ever see this movie on purpose again
i was expecting it to be way better than i thought it was.

I know it's your opinion, and I ain't a 'Tropic Thunder' fan, yet(because I haven't seen the film). But, I was confused when you said "disappointed", and in your review gave it a 6(or)7/10, which is a pretty reasonable score, if you ask me. And considering this film wasn't nessisarilly marketing itself to be a giant-sized blockbuster, I wouldn't consider a score like that to be "disappointing". A 6/10 score, would be like saying "go see it on a Tuesday night or wait for DVD release". 7/10 would be saying, "check it out if you like the genre".

The Dark Knight's viewings were obviously going to slow down eventually . After five weeks of a movie being in theatres just about anyone could take the crown . Tropic Thunder just happens to be that movie. I'm actually feeling good that Tropic did well enough to beat the Star Wars cartoon because that is the real victory. I'm also feeling good that while The Dark Knight remained at the top other movies like Step Brothers and Pineapple Express still performed well.

Tropic Thunder just happens to be that movie. I'm actually feeling good that Tropic did well enough to beat the Star Wars cartoon because that is the real victory. When I was leaving the movie theater after seeing Tropic Thunder on Friday night, I noticed that the next 3 showings of TDK were sold out.

There were at least 2 sold-out Tropic Thunder screenings too, but I surprised to still see so many TDK screenings still selling out.

I enjoyed, Tom Cruise is a great villain when so inclined.........lately I've noticed that comedies seem to be shying away from profanity and offensive language and its refreshing to see a film that throws that stuff around.....I wish Steve Coogan had a bit more time but otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed this film.....and I still want a "Full ******" shirt....

Well, people are gonna see TDK a zillion times cause they're nuts.

Give credit where credit is due. TDK is widely considered a great film and it's very successful. If people go back for repeat viewings, it's no more crazy than you buying up every cheap, bad movie you can find on DVD.

Maybe you've been seeing dumbed down PG-13 comedies that limit one use of the F-word.

The recent R-rated comedies so far :Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Superbad, 40 Year Old Virgin have extensive profanity in them.

I agree about the movies you brought up, but find it funny that you equate a lack of profanity with dumbing down. Isn't it usually the opposite? TT was incredibly funny, but it was far from cerebral.
