Trouble with shutting down/logging off PC.

Been having some trouble as of late with turning off the computer and logging off. Seems to either take forever for it (PC) to do this after I tell it to, or I have to push the power button to turn it off.

Please, help me out here.

Yeah mine does that too, i have to use the power button (and i hear that can ruin the hard drive)
