You're right, this whole thing is exceptionally well planned by the Joker. So from the sides it sounds like even though Mr J is in the car with 3 other thugs travelling to the bank, they don't know he's along for the ride. Maybe he dyed his hair brown, the thugs contemplate turning on Joker, perhaps one of them then sees the wisp of green in the thugs hair and craps himself, Joker kills everyone in the room and escapes in the bus. Maybe

Hmm... that could work.

I don’t know if I can post the sides, but in them, “The Chief” and a swat guy are in a garage with an empty school bus. They say they’ve found the missing bus and there is a hostage situation in a nearby building.
It seems like the sides take place after the getaway, because the cops are in possession of the bus. Perhaps Joker lost the police in the line of buses, but they catch up to him somewhere else.
And by that time, it could be (k)night time

I don't think he dyed his hair brown since his double had all green hair. Maybe they were doing close ups today or something.

That does make sense SilentType. Maybe they're taking the hostages to a mall, which the Joker ends up blowing up and running off with Maroni's money.

Maybe Joker sped off in the bus, the other goons silently drove off in the suburban... but that still wouldn't explain hostages.

Maybe they put the hostages in the bus and a goon drove them away.

Man, this scene keeps getting more and more confusing.

First it seemed simple. Joker and his goons crash a bus into a bank, rob the bank, and probably escape in the bus or a second car. Then we found out about the zipline. Okay... so someone makes an escape by zipline. Wait, no. The zipline is going in TO the bank, not away from it. Then we find out the bus is parked facing outside, like it was backed into the bank, and that the Joker and his gang arrive in a suburban.

So... Joker and the gang show up in a suburban, more goons repel in, possible more goons back a bus into the bank for escape. Then Joker, and possibly the goons, escape in the bus by merging into a line of buses.

The question is, who's driving those buses? Did he schedule it to coincide with a time he knew there'd by lots of buses driving by? Maybe that's why Joker's the only one in the bus, because the rest of the goons went to go grab the other buses.

Damn you Nolan! It's all so confusing!!!

Here is the way I see it...

The fact that there is a bus already there, parked - maybe a Gotham Local School is having a field trip? So the Jokerz bust into the bank, take the green, Joker offs his mates and hops into the school bus.

And the Jokers hair will be green

How are they going to explain those conveinent little school buses lined up perfectly for The Joker to pull in front of?

Very clear what was going on, nice job. These scenes must be a ***** to organise. The whole thing was timed to perfection, few seconds either way and the cops would have realised the bus came out of the bank. Hard to believe there arent goons driving the buses in that case

Was it only the one camera car covering the shot?

i can't believe that is what ledger is gonna look like in the film

and i just cannot understand how they are gonna handle the continuity of the joker from begins

meaning in the end it is implied that the joker exists and has a taste for the theatrical further implying that he is the joker we know white face and stupid grin

this is something i really liked

that joker's origin had nothing to do with batman

and everything we have seen from the chicago shoot seems to suggest that the joker is gonna get an origin which kinda sucks

but whatever just wait and see i guess

still hate ledgers hair WTF

I don't think so (about the Joker origin). Ledger's double has green hair, and he's the one driving the bus in the vid up top.

Did anybody watch when the bus turns the corner along with the other buses that must be on the buses one of the goons is driving.

LOL. Trust me, this is a Joker scene, not a pre-Joker or anything silly like that. He'll look like the Joker in the film. Just RELAX. This is how movies are made. What you see on-set and what you see on-screen are not exactly the same. Just hang in there.

i think it would be more intersting for joker and batman to first meet as the iconic figures they are not as a low level crook to madman which he blames on batman

I couldnt agree more...it is quite confusing. But hopefully thing will make more sense in the coming weeks/months.
