We usually have a choice of ham or turkey...this year they want pepper steak, go figure. All I want is my Stove Top and cranberry sauce from the can, and I'm straight.

Both, it's a celebration, *****es!

Although, I've never consumed cider for holiday celebrations, what kind of crazy **** is that?! It's wine all the time! Not sure what I'll be doing for Turkey Day. I'm sure I'll get a call from my aunt tomorrow with some crazy idea to have it at her place for just the two of us, then I'll be like "Hell, no!" we should go out. Finding reservations at a restaurant the day before Thanksgiving is fun.

I don't like turkey or ham . . . how did the two most boring-ass meats ever become such a staple in all holiday meals??

Probably b/c turkey has tryptophan which puts you to sleep. Easiest way to get out of talking to relatives.

I adore both turkey and ham. My first meal is turkey, while my second is turkey and ham. But I'm usually so filled by the time I go to the second meal that I don't eat the ham or the turkey. Besides, I'll save my ham cravings for Christmas.

heh . . . good point . . . I'll use that one, even though there isn't really enough tryptophan to put you to sleep unless you ate like 20lbs. of turkey anyway

Your second meal is my first. I always have turkey and ham with everything else. But then I never really eat the turkey because I dislike it so much.

I only had juicy turkey once, it's almost always dry and boring. Ham is juicy and fun for me. But I agree it's even BETTER on Christmas.

(I wish I could still say merry christmas without getting a lecture from a boss or teacher or anyone)

We usually have turkey for Thanksgiving and ham for Christmas. Either way, just give me my green bean casserole! :yay:

Yeah, I like ham on Christmas.

I wouldn't mind ham on Christmas. My family is hispanic so my mom makes a pork roast, which isn't bad but I would like some nice ham better. Either way I just want my mom's home made potato salad...that's what I really love about Christmas dinner. :woot:

Turkey or even better a Goose (thought that is more for Christmas) and a nice red by far. The best would be a Romanée Conti 1995 but it would be easier just to get a nice red that has some body to it.

In any case, what makes the best meal is having fun people to eat it with.

Boy, do I miss Thanksgiving. :(

Turkey may be the symbol, but it's only good in a sammich!

Ham is good 110% of the time!!! (Appologies to all my Hebrew/Muslim toy brethren out there)

I like Ham... and Turkey. I'm not much of a wine drinker but I do drink it once in a while. Depends on my tastes. I also love stuffing :)

apple cidar, wine?.....You left out egg nog!?!?! :cmad:
Thats my favorite drink during thanksgiving. And I thought Ham was more of a christmas thing...oh well

egg nog is more of a christmas thing... followed by a fine glass of wine...then a massage...followed by a game of pool...at a bar.

We always have turkey and ham on thanksgiving and ham only on Christmas. Ham just tastes so damn good, especially with cherry sauce...OMG it is delicious.

We bake our hams with cherry and pineapple on the top and rubbed in brown sugar. Make the sweet cherry sauce and it is absolutely delicious:o Like pork goes good with apricot sauce...ham tastes so good with cherry sauce...MMMMMMMMMMMMM:woot:
