I accidentally left my dvd player on all night and it seems that the menu screen has burned itself onto my tv screen. Is there anything I can do to fix this? will it fade in time????

I have a warranty on it but I was just seeing if I could do anything myself to fix it.

If its still under warranty send it back, better than messing about when you can just get a replacement (if this sort of thing is covered!)

If you can connect your television to a computer and use it as a monitor, there is a program called PSP Stuck Pixel Fixer. It's designed for the PSP but you can use it on your TV. You run the video and maximize it to full screen. It basically flashes a ton of colors on your screen rapidly. Leave it on all night. That may help. No guarantees.

It fixed itself actually. It faded in time. It's completely gone now

Totally! I've left my dvd player on too long before but nothing has happened.. I try not to though because of the electricity bills but sometimes I fall asleep with it on.. I try not to but sometimes it happens
