Two-Face Make-up/Costume

Please don't be insulted if I speak about this - Two-Face. Let's talk about Two-Face. Now to my mind, its an abomination to consider that any man, woman or child in this magnificent country of ours should have to look upon a Two-Face costume as a luxury.

Now that I'm done quoting There Will Be Blood, let's talk about Two-Face costumes and make-up. I didn't see any threads on this before, so here we go.

First off, I'd like to be able get a Two-Face look that's pretty similar to that in The Dark Knight, and off this image I found on DeviantArt:

So I was thinking of applying a layer of liquid latex, then tissue paper for where the burns are. After that, add another layer of liquid latex and let it solidify, then add the makeup. This is really the only step I'm not sure about. Is it necessary to add that first layer of liquid latex, or could I find something else to make the toilet paper stick? Any help is appreciated.

And yes I've seen the IndyMogul video, but their look isn't really what I'm going for. Even though I'm taking their mouth-pulling idea, along with some other basics such as the bald cap.

But aside from that, feel free to talk about anything Two-Face make-up/costume related. I'm sure whatever anyone posts will help others down the line as well.

I've pretty much got my suit sorted, a whole bottle of lighter fluid and a box of matches later, I'm just thinking about how to do the face now. I've got no experience of doing make-up so I'm trying to find someone who will give me some tips for a basic but effective look.

how about you just use the lighter fluid and matches on your face. you'll have the most authentic look anyone will see this year!

Now that is effective, but not simple!

Wow thats preety cool, the hair is sorta overkill, and it would've been nicer if you had an actual white blazer.

what i did is made a bunch of liquid latex prosthetics. One for the eyebrow, one under eye, the teeth/brunt off lips, a tendon across the face, and chin. Have a half bald cap that i painted burnt flesh and built ups ome liquid latex burns,puss.

In between all the prosthetics is make up with fake puss and blood serum maybe some liquid latex if needed.

since my fifth grader isnt quite ready for full prosthetics i started with this...

lol, I'm actually the guy in the Superman shirt, my friend is the one with the torch and the guy who is doing the work. I'm just the donkey he talked into wearing this stuff all night long.

And to the guy who asked how he did the eye, its actually a ping pong ball thats been airbrushed, but he's scrapping that version in favor of something a bit more realistic. I'll post more pictures soon. I think next week we're gonna do a full run through with the wig and everything else all going on. I'm excited! Thanks for all the positive feedback thus far guys.

Aside from shaving, what are people doing for their hair? So far I picked up some make up for scars tonight but you guys are putting mine to shame! Found a bulging eye scar at a halloween store tonight and even something for the teeth (wound showing some of one's teeth), but I need to learn how to properly apply this and figure out the hair situation.

EDIT: Holy ****, pollyestergrimm, in that first pic (awesome costume by the way) you totally look like Heath Ledger.

so i did a makeup test on my son tonight to see a few things..

a. how it looked (awesome imo)
b.how well the spirit gum held up and how much and where to apply it
c.how long it takes to apply/ remove (20 minutes on 20 minutes off
d. if it bothered the little man to wear it or caused irritation (it did not. in fact he loved it)

and finally how to resolve the eye issue.



a few notes. latex and makeup will be used to blend the middle, cover his ears and blend the neck. i used some quick photoshop below to see what eye makeup might look like on him.



and with a fake eye that floats unattached between his face and the prosthetic. he still has pretty good visability. the eye will be painted to match the film



movement is pretty good. again a bit of quick photoshop on the eye...
