The Dark Knight Two-Suits???

Half and Half

  • Yes – Has to be half and half.

  • No- Tommy Lee ruined the half and half. Take him to The Mens Warehouse.

  • Doesn’t matter as long as his face is scared and he has a coin.

Nothing compares to the PIMP Joker!

Alright, screw the suit...What kind of Gun and Coin should he carry :woot:

I doubt Nolan would go the two-suits way. The Joker's look is so perfect so far that i have no doubt that Two-Face will also be perfect.

two-face will carry a .22 of course. and then for a coin..while a double sided coin would be nice, they probably won't go with that. i heard it was a 50 cent piece they showed in the WW footage. but that could have been double-sided, i don't know. i think a 50 cent piece works fine. but obviously, the idea of it having two faces and one being damaged is just perfect. so maybe we'll still get that, because that would be pretty cool. and then he'll strap batman to a giant penny

Why wouldn't he have a double sided coin?

It's something the character has always had, there's never been anything wrong with it, and there's a point to him having it as well. If he just has a normal coin, he wouldn't need to carve one side because he'd already be able to figure which side is which. While it may not matter to some, I think it's a great metaphor. The two sided coin, one scarred, one left alone, is a symbolic sign of Two Face himself.

I wouldn't want that, I think simple head of George Washington or any one else.

EDIT: I never seen a 50 cent.

of course it's a great metaphor. but when he goes insane, i don't know if he has the time or wherewithal to stop off at a novelty shop to pick up a trick coin, that's all. i mean if he suddenly has it i wouldn't question it, but i'm just saying i don't see how he'd suddenly get it. unless maybe harvey carried it with him as a good luck charm or something, then carves it up and starts using it after the accident.

I think it'd be simple enough to establish he has a trick coin at some point in the film. Just a "throwaway" little segment...maybe some dialog wrapped around it...and he has a coin with two heads!

The solution is to stick with the comics. It's his father's coin. Let Harvey Dent have the double-headed coin - and flip it - before his disfigurement. Then when he's scarred he carves up one side.

Also, rewatching "The Prestige" recently, I noticed that Christian Bale shows off a double-headed coin when he pulls it out of the kid's ear. A little nod to things to come, perhaps? :cwink:

A Silver dollar was used in Forever. I wonder what type they'll use in TDK. But is there a reason why you don't want that? When he's always used it in the comics? You just feel like they should deviant from the comics for absolutely NO good reason? No one could give a good reason as to why it shouldn't be used. I can think of plenty for the contrary.

LOL!

I hope you're kidding. This is explained in the comics. Two different versions have been used. One says he gets the coin from his father, and contains a really good backstory for it. Read The Long Halloween. The other says he got the coin from a crime scene investigation and he could prove that the coin belonged to Maroni so he was going to use it to prove Maroni was at the crime scene while in court.

He's never just went to a novelty store and bought a two headed coin.

well i've said many times i haven't read many comics, but i did however, say that if he had the coin before hand then it doesn't matter..so i covered that.

Ok, I didn't know that. No problem.

Because of the direction that Nolan is taking this franchise in, I'd say that a custom "two-face" suit (as seen in the comics) wouldn't look good in this movie. But something does have to be done with his wardrobe to make one side have a different appearance (even if subtle) than the other. From the earlier set report (I believe from NoirMan?)... I remember reading something along the lines of the suit being damaged on one side from the acid/chemical that was thrown at Dent's face... maybe that (along with some wear/tear?) will suffice for this film... maybe they'll build more on that part of Two-Face in the third film. TDK is, after all, "Two Face Begins" - so he can make modifications to his wardrobe in the following film (especially as he rises in power among the Gotham Criminal Elite)

Speaking of Two Face, wasn't it ridiculous how Tommy Lee Jones (as Harvey Dent in Batman Forever) put a manila folder right on one half of his face in brief courtroom scene as someone is throwing acid on him?... then again, that whole movie was ridiculous (just not AS ridiculous as the monstrosity that is Batman & Robin)

... yeah, thought I'd put that out there.

I think the double headed coin that he had before the scarring is symbolic of the way Dent was secretly rigging the game for himself. After the scarring, of course, it served as a means for letting 'fate' decide, since 'fate' had chosen his new path as Two-Face. Harvey knows that it was his decision to get in bed with the mob that led up to his scarring, but he cannot openly admit this to the world or himself. He is fate's victim, dependent on the coin forever.
