I for one loved UFC Undisputed 2009, but there was definite room for improvement.

I think the career mode could be greatly improved, with a more Role Play style, where you choose if your fighter is good or bad, where you build yourself up the ranks, gaining fans after every single impressive win. I wouldn't like to just have the same repetitive sparring sessions, training sessions and fights.

I love the idea of the Classic Fights feature, but I thought there should have been MANY more, maybe they could have had the main event from each UFC since number 1? I mean, I understand there are some contracting issues, but it would be amazing.

I also had an idea, what if you could choose a year for your fighter? Like, in essence, you could have a dream match, like Randy Couture in his prime (2003) vs. Anderson Silva in his prime (2007-). Since the fighters in the UFC only have maybe 3 fights a year, this wouldn't be a hard feature to implement and all, and it would keep the game fresh.

There should be more unlockables, like alternate shorts for fighters.

and lastly, I think there should be fighter entrances, hod how I would love to be able to see Forrest Jog to the ring or Anderson Silva's confidence as he dances towards the ring.

What are your thoughts? What would you add or take away from the game now?

Anywho, Brock Lesnar has officially been announced as the MMA fighter who will appear on the cover of this years game:

Stoked that hes on the cover, I wanted him or Anderson Silva.. but without question Lesnar is the most marketable as well as being one of the best & brightest fighters in 2009.

Here is a list of things that are reportedly confirmed to be in this years game (taken from a post on the official forums, credit to mimarsinan who put the detailed post together):

Singleplayer Gameplay:

- Signature moves tied to a fighter.
- New fighting styles (Karate, Greco Roman wrestling and Sambo)
- Southpaw (signature stance move)
- Dodging (You can now Dodge then counter!)
- Ducking (Ducking added!)
- Leaning Back (You can now Lean Back!)
- Cage Play (You now use the cage like in real ufc!!)

- Catching kicks (In ufc 2009 you could catch kicks with only one player. In this one you can do it with more fighters!)

- Hundreds of new animations (For striking, four times as many strikes, 3 times as many ground posistions and twice as many submissions added!!)
- From one submission to another (Another new addition!)
- Now B.J. Penn will do his arm trap into a rear-naked choke (Another new addition!)
- The salavvery move (A new move!)
- New submission system (If you are leading the submission battle the camera will zoom in, if you are loosing the battle the camera will zoom out!)
- Removed button mashing for submissions (This will make a completely new online gameplay!)
- Completely redone combo and targeting system by adding sways. (Ducking, leaning back and Dodging etc!)
- A much quicker and reactive gameplay system (OMG!)
- New sub postions (Yep!)
- You can now get rocked from any postion (Sweet!)
- Trainstions between takedowns (Lord!)
- Clinching has been reanimated (Mhm!)
- The number of front submissions have been doubled (Yes!)
- A new posture system (Cool)
- (*New) Players will now perform clinch pummels and throws using the Ultimate Fighter control the same way they performed transitions in ufc 2009
- (*New) Takedowns off the cage
- (*New) Submission transitions (for more info about this please read the post at third page)
- (*New) Some changes to Full mount (In ufc 2009 you could only throw one or two punches before the opponent atemmpt to do a transition block. In ufc 2010 you can throw more punches like in real life!

- (*New) Fighters can now grab a hold of their wrists while on ground!

I am a big fan of UFC Undisputed 2009, I've completed the game completly & the only reason I've not got the Platinum trophy on the PS3 is because there was a bug in the gold medals in the online mode

I also have just under 800 fights last time I checked with approx 78% wins.. thats right I'm awesome, who wants to touch me?
When I trade last years in for this years I'll post my final stats ie KO's, takedown percentage success rate etc etc.

Some of the things that spoilt the last games online mode portion appear to have been corrected, there will be no more turbo controller users for submissions as the button mashing has been removed as a way to execute the submission & there is now going to be plenty of head movement so there will be no more getting jammed against the cage getting endlessly beaten up by punches your unable to dodge.

But the best thing by a mile will be the ability to customise the way your fighter strikes, takesdown, reacts to catching legs, submissions etc.. I can't WAIT!

May 2010 is the only reference I've seen to a release date so far, not long to wait

This is probably the game I'm anticipating the most. Last year's game was a huge step forward for MMA games and this one looks like it's going to blow 2009 out of the water. Everything I've seen looks awesome, however I REALLY hope they add fighter entrances. If it's a matter of securing the rights to the music, leave it generic and let us load our own music in. Problem solved.

Can't wait to try out guys like Randy and Shane Carwin.

Just to let you all know demo is out & it is f-ing AWESOME.

If you liked UFC Undisputed 2009 you'll like UFC Undisputed 2010, early impression is that the game has been improved on every front.

I'm personally enjoying the game on every front, the stand up game is so much better now legs kicks have a proper impact on the fighter & the weaving/blocking system is really good, if you can perfect it you can catch the fighter with a perfectly timed head kick or signiture right hook.. absolute quality.

Clinch game is superb as well, it is possible to do what Carwin did to Mir a few weeks ago ie press the fighter up against the cage & then begin to unload with uppercuts, right hands, kicks, knees you name it. Really awesome

I'll definatly be buying it, I'll post my stats for the 2009 game for those that care

OMG, BTW, have any of you fought against Rashad Evans and gotten a trademark KO? I was playing with Machida and I KO'd Evans with a counter punch and he fell EXACTLY the way he did at their fight at UFC 98. Unbelievable detail.
