    Here's what he said...

Bendis never liked Carnage, but I think he read something in a science book on what NOT to do with genetics, and Bendis went "That's Carnage" or something similar, so thats where he got the idea.

So far, the ONLY thing in common with the classic version is appearence. Also, Bendis has hinted that Carnage may be someone we've seen before, which implicates that it won't be Cletus Kasady.

And right now some people think HARRY is going to be Carnage. He wasn't Venom, he wasn't Hobgoblin, so now they think he might be Carnage. And when Carnage turns out to be someone else, they'll think Harry might the Ultimate F.A.C.A.D.E.

Or it just implicates that Kasady has been an un-named character we have seen so far.

    E.g.

    The Burgler
    Just Some Guy

I can't see why we need Carnge. We had two worthless issues of Venom. There was nothing solid for him to do. There was so much potential in that strory that never materialized.

And so now Carnage may show up. A failed copy of a third rate villain. If they can give him a good story then I'm all for it. Something more interesting than the obvious "I tried to duplicate the Parker/Brock formula but there was an ingrediant missing/unavailable/I must have read it wrong and now I have this thing..."

the venom saga was just a minor skermish in a far greater battle between spidey and venom, just wait once eddie gets better control of the suit and returns. You'll see some serious fights.

The Ultimate Venom arc is my current favorite arc in Ultimate Spider-Man(Legacy following right behind, of course this is just my opinion). As for Ultimate Carange, I seriousily cannot wait for him to show up!

I totally agree with boths Venoms on this one. The Venom arc, while definatetly not my favorite, was very good, ESPECIALLY on the second read.

It made Venom a much more personal and plausible character in Peter Parker's life. The story was very subtle (unlke ANYTHING from when Venom was around in the 90's) and has set up some GREAT stuff for the future!

I also cannot wait for Ultimate Carnage!! By the way, venom4life, how did you get a title already (which by the way is perfect!)

I don't see why it cannot be Cletus Kasady, just because it's someone we've already seen in the book. Maybe Cletus was in the background somewhere, lol. Seriously though, although the Ultimate Version of the villains have had their differences from the Originials, each villain has had the same identity so far in the Ultimate Universe (Ult Spidey's at least). The Green Goblin=Norman Osborn, The Kingpin=Wilson Fisk, Venom=Eddie Brock. Turning anybody else into Carnage would be a little too far-fethced even for a Spidey Comic. It's bad enough Harry has been touted as being the Ultimate Hobgoblin (personally I hate when people say Harry is the Hobgoblin in the next spidey film, agh!), but any other character we've seen just wouldn't give the Carnage character much originality.

Unless of course the character we've already seen who turns out to be Ultimate Carnage is in fact the last character we'd ever think of..........Peter Parker.

After the Ultimate Six 6th-member debacle, I do not believe one word out of Bendis' mouth. Not one word. Everything he says is designed to throw us off the track.

There's no telling who Carnage might end up being (if we ain't lucky it'll be Peter Parker : heaving HUGE SIGH! : ), but I'm looking forward to his upcoming arc. Hopefully he'll get more hang-time than Venom did. Let's face it, if you blinked, you missed Venom.

I'm just markin' time till they get done with BC. We've had two arcs in a row featuring characters I don't care one bit about, bring on someone good, please!

Kasady (Carnage,) was a superb charachter, (in his very first arc that is.) The epitomy of sheer evil, Peters EXACT opposite. Chilling, but in some weird way, you could understand the method of his madness. Bendis better not f**k it up like those 'brilliant' Geldoff and Venom arcs, not that Venom was that bad, but it was a waste of time.

I agree, venom could have been done better and i hope bendis makes it up to us by doing carnage justice in the ultimate universe, not saying the venom arc was terrible though. Cheers for the info guys.

I know no-one's posted in a while, but could'nt Carnage be hostless? Or his host could be a randomer from the street?

but seriously yes he could be hostless. In the first carnage arc he was. Carnage feeds on people constantly in order to sustain itself, thats why it killed Gwen and others. In the clone saga however it appears that the Carnage gene has been implanted in Gwen.
