howdy folks!

Was just wondering what people thought of part three in the "Ultimate Invasion" trilogy?

I have to say, I'm loving the artwork at the moment. It's a very, very distinctive style, and really stands out from other comics out there. I also enjoyed Cap's little speech about God and his crisis of faith... puts a new spin on him, I think.

(Also, on a side note, is it me or has the Ultimate Universe been through a hell of a lot this year? Alien Invasion here, Invasion of foreign forces in The Ultimates 2... not to mention everything that happened in the Ultimates last year... they're really taking a pounding over there!)

I'm definitly digging Ultimate Extinction.

Galactus and Surfer were handled quite well.

My store is taking forever to get even the first issue of Ult. Extinction in. I'm looking forward to it .. since I've never really seen Surfer or Galactus in a comic before..

It's very slow moving. It's taken what, like 2 months in between 4 and 5?

It's slow moving, badly advertised, artistic changes have really hurt the series (talking over the course of the galactus trilogy btw) and its badly advertised.

Though i think the story has been quite entertaining I think it should have been a lot better. Marvel should have waited til ultimates 2 finished and put bryan hitch on it for all 3 parts and hyped it to the high heavens it would have been a great read and a great trade paper back as well.

Marvel has REALLY dropped the ball on this IMO.

Coincidentaly I just read it all over from the start. It really is quite awesome when read collectively but each feels so drasticaly different that you don't even see it as part of the same arc. Good stuff though. Can't wait to see how it ends. Silver Surfer is awesome. I'm guessing the Fantastic Four get one to turn on Galactus.

...Not a fan of Galactus's look though...Just...not menacing. Looks like another fleet of aliens to me, hive mind or not. The cover to Ultimate Extinction freaked me out because I literally pictures giant, monstrous heads shaped like Galactus's, eating everything in their path.

Oh and anybody got an idea of what Reed is planning? After reading it over I'm thinking he wants to teleport the entire 616 earth to a newer universe. Now Jean Grey's plan has me really interested because it could be the one that saves the day without having to move them to another universe entirely.

They should have set the story after the Ultimates 2 instead of between 1 and 2 and yes Hitch should have been on all 3 parts

the 616 earth is the regular marvel earth, not the ultimate one...and 3 words for what he's planning...Ultimate Ultimate Nullifier :o
