Yeah it broke the 4th wall way to much I thought, but it was a solid premiere I thought. Now that everything is in place I look forward to how future episodes play out.

Worst. Superhero. Cartoon. Ever.

They cancelled Spectacular Spider Man for this.

Arrgh...just...arrggh.

I was a bit suprised to see Connors at SHIELD, in a "Q" sort of role nonethless.

Not as bad as I thought it would be. It was quite funny and entertaining in alot of ways, but at times it was too humorous. Both Spidey and Peter were a joke a minute and I found myself thinking,"Could we get serious for a bit?" Plus,I wasn't really crazy about Spidey being treated like a 2nd class kinda hero.

Seriously. I was expecting Hank Pym or Bruce Banner or somebody. It's a fun cartoon, though. I look forward to seeing what other changes they've made. I like new twists when they're good. It's why I read the Ultimate books to begin with. Plus the animation is just great. It's sleek stuff.

Not to mention I'm all for anything that gives me Heroes for Hire and Nova on a regular basis. I liked Luke Cage's excuse for being called Power Man. :woot: Overall I dig it. It's a better animated Teen Titans and is as fun and funny as a Spider-man show should be. It takes advantage of Spider-man's best period of his career: His time as a teenager. I like Spider-man when he's a newbie.

The Dialogue is absolutely atrocious. The 4th wall stuff is kind of annoying.. cut it in half and it would be okay for me. The animation itself, very crisp. I think I'll like this incarnation of Doc Ock, long hair and pale(at least I think he was from the little we saw of his face) is creepy and I like it.

I think I'll give it a few more episodes, but I may watch it on mute. I want to see him in in the Iron Spider outfit, that looks pretty B.A.

Teen Titans new how to go a little dark when they had to. Everything with Slade and Trigon was pretty awesome. I hope for this version of Spider-Man they turn the tone on a dime from time to time. It was kind of a fun premier, but I hope it can hit some suspense and a feel of epicness as it progresses.

oh boy, there are some BOMBS on this show.

Anyway, i'm mixed. The fight scenes were very very poor IMO especially when you compare it to the superior and coherent Avengers EMH that followed. I chuckled occasionally, I appreciate the style and creativity, but there were times it got out of hand.
We'll see how this show develops

I loved Spectacular, now having said that, I was laughing my but off at some of the gags in this, it was hilarious. It was a little much at times, if they can tone it down just a bit, good things will happen, I look forward to seeing more.:awesome::up:

Agree with all of this.

Really have to say the show was kinda enjoyable,(little corky with the 4th wall stuff) but had me laughing quite a bit. The show looks to have potential, definitely a tone set for kids

This show is what toilets and toilet paper were created and meant for...

this show is the *****s and I mean that in the most insulting and worst way possible...

never again will I watch this abomination...

excuse me while I try and shake the memories of this joke out of my braincells by watching some of the 90's Spidey eps...

Does anyone else get the feeling that this exactly what a live-action Spider-Man film made by Marvel Studios, would be like?

Quite a lot of positives I've read, some negatives, and a few mixed.
Honestly, it's been like

Positive 70%
Negative 20%
Mixed 10%

Not a bad balance for only 2 episodes.

I must admit that The Spectacular Spider-Man didn't win me over from the get go after the first 2 episodes, I thought what was all the hype for, even though I did enjoy it.
But it got better as it went along, especially once the Lizard arc was complete.

Thanks for the reviews guys!

That's the feeling I'd get and I'm all for it. It's like "Hey, we don't have the rights to Spider-man? Fine. We'll put him in our universe anyway with a cartoon. We'll even throw Coulson in it!" It's pretty neat, I think.

No, I doubt it'd be this juvenile. On the whole I didn't like this
all that much. Some of the humor worked but most just came off as pandering to ADD/ADHD kids under 10 and very groan-worthy:doh:. Seems to be trying to be more like Batman B&B.

Now I initially didn't like the last 2 Spidey cartoon series as well but they eventually grew on me. Hopefully that will be the case here.

I'm watching it right now......oh man, oh man, I miss Spectacular Spider-Man. This show actually makes me appreciate SSM even more. I admit, I did chuckle at some spots, but overall, I'm not liking it that much.

And no theme song is a negative.

To me, either have a good theme song or none(so you can add that to the story runtime). So I'm ok with no theme song. Especially since I never like TSSM's theme song and had wished that they'd skipped it there as well.

If it isn't good, I'd rather them just forget a theme song.

The 90s theme is the best.

It was okay. I felt they went a little crazy with the comedy bits ([BLACKOUT]Spidey's wimpy muscles[/BLACKOUT]), although some of them made me laugh ([BLACKOUT]Parker Game Night, Fury's "I WANT YOU" ad[/BLACKOUT]).

Maybe this show will pick up steam for me like Green Lantern: TAS did.

Anyway, does anyone like the "Marvel Mash Up" bits? I just skipped them on my DVR.
