Age of Ultron Ultron's Return? Or nah?

Anyone think we'll see anymore of Ultron? In my opinion he's too big a character to kill out of the MCU, and WAYYYY too easy to bring back.
I think the point was that he died right there. That's what's happening right now.
However, they killed him off screen and that energy blast was not what we've seen vision do earlier in the film.
The unanimous feeling is that he's gone. However, the reason I bring this up is because it seems like the unanimous opinions regarding the MCU are usually wrong.


SO;Does Ultron return? If so, when?
If he does, I see it being in civil war, or after the credits

Ultron is a special character in that he has no real body to be destroyed. They could just easily say he uploaded himself to some computer somewhere and now he's back. He's one of the easiest characters in comic books to bring back after his 'death.'

I didn't care for him, so nah. Maybe if they had him more like the T-1000 I would have bought his character more, but in the way he was in the movie, he just came off as a Sonni wannabe from IRobot or maybe C-3PO.

Maybe Ultron's just chillin' with some mai tais with Zola in some computer server somewhere. It would be nice to see Ultron come back as a more legit threat the 2nd time around but with the announced slate, I don't think it'll be anytime soon, if ever.

I have no problem with him showing back up. I'd like to see him show back up in phase 4 or 5. He was a great character and James Spader was so great in the role.

This. I'd love for him to return but he'll likely never have a movie all to himself as the villain again. He could come back as part of the MoE.

I'd also love to see Ultron come back. Spader was great! And I have a hard time believing he's really dead - how can you really kill Ultron - especially when Vision said earlier he didn't want to kill him. It would be interesting to see his character progress from the child like state he started at in this film.

Yeah, I mean, if he has full access to the internet (which he does) and he is about to be destroyed (spoiler alert) then I'm PRETTY sure he wouldn't just let himself die. He is alive, whether he will be back anytime soon or whether he will come back as big as he was or bigger is unknown, but we can assume that he is alive.

This was actually a thought of mine, what if Zola and him came back for a team up? They would only want to reveal that Ultron had anything to do with it until later, otherwise it would take from Zola being viewed as epic. Possibly something kinda like how[BLACKOUT] Ultron was controlling Vision[/BLACKOUT] in AoU?(comics)[BLACKOUT] (Not sure exactly how that worked, it seemed he was controlling vision to control the Ultron bots, which seemed very unnecessary, but might be needed so he can control them from the future.[/BLACKOUT] They can finally defeat Zola, and then he is still laughing and he reveals that he was being used by someone more powerful.

All in all the AoU movie really didn't develop Ultron well enough. It seems like it was too focused on setting up other things to happen in the universe, that they just didn't do Ultron much justice. [BLACKOUT]I mean... they didn't even show him covering himself in vibranium.[/BLACKOUT]

In any other occasion i would say yes, but considering how weak he was, i doubt he will come back.

I'd rather see the return of the Red Skull, although I loved Ultron. Ultimately, I don't think Marvel has the time to bring too many villains back, though. They've still got dozens of others they're trying to get on the screen in the first place.

At the most let him have a tiny cameo in a future film. But that's it. He already ruined one movie being a crap villain (guess that's Whedon's fault eh?). That'll suffice.

I'd like to see him come back at some point but I don't see him ever being a major villain again. Hopefully he comes back in Infinity War as one of Thanos' lieutenants. Spader's performance was too great to be a one and done deal.

Ultron will probably get a cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy 2. One of his soldiers will probably be in The Collector's collection cells.

I hope we see him return as he was really wasted in AOU, wouldn't mind him showing up in Guardians if they want to do an Annihilation Conquest type story. In fact, I would love it.
