I'm really starting think think we won't see Vision under the final battle and that worries me.
Happy Valentine's Day, Guest!
I'm still worried that Cap will be portrayed as useless in this. I heard that even Evans has been quoted as saying that he's not really their leader, he actually shares the leadership role and tosses in battle strategy plans with Toney Stark.
Last Avengers, he's pretty much the only Avenger to have not done anything on a great scale. Tony flew the bomb out of the atmosphere, Hulk smashed one of them giant monsters and saved Ironman from falling to his death, Thor brought down one of the monsters and even helped Captain America to his feet when he got shot down, Hawkeye blew Loki off of his speeder jet and Black Widow closed the portal.
And don't give me this "oh he stopped Loki from killing an old guy" Loki was just toying with him there until Ironman shows up.

^^ For the record, the MCU Ultron is mostly Joss' own original creation. Hes loosely based on the comic version of the character.
JW: "I didnt go back to them (the comics) at all. You know, he was an angry robot. Angry all the time! Thats one of the things that drew me to him this guys angry! Angry for like 50 years! You know, they reinvented him in Ultimates and stuff. At one point he was a beautiful woman Im not doing that one! I loved him when I read the comics as a kid, because of the scope and the sci-fi and what the team was going through, but I never looked to Ultron himself in the comics for why I love Ultron. I had an idea that I sort of extrapolated from that, so in that way hes sort of a new guy. But hes been a tricky one to nail down. Not because the voice eluded me, but just in terms of How much of his agenda is he revealing? How much of his agenda does he even understand? And then of course theres the inevitable over-explaining that we do in these things, where youre watching and youre like Okay, he said it enough, people know!
I don't think Whedon knew how to use him in Avengers, cause he was focusing on Cap's skills in TFA. But when the Russo's pumped Cap up in TWS, Whedon had a lot more to work with, and so can do more with him now. That's what I think.
BW and HE both are relying on their equipment to take them down, I believe. I doubt it's just karate kicks that are getting the job done.
I feel like I won't like Ultron, but whatever. I don't read the comics, so I don't know him to much.
As for Cap being useless, I honestly think I've seen him in the trailers quite a bit. And in a recent interview Chris said Cap starts taking the role further. I think Cap is a bigger player this time around. He obviously gets a few cool scenes fighting Ultron.

Then that's just lazy. If he didn't know how to make Steve standout, then he should have asked a few comic book readers or do some other research. Anyways, I do think the one time he is really going to stand out from the rest, is when he finally picks up Mijlnor.
I remember Evans saying when he met with the Russo's they were already on the same page with the action. Given the results, I don't see how they imagined anything different than what we saw in TWS.I should probably correct myself by saying that it was not the RUSSO'S who pumped Cap up, but Chris Evans himself. I believe I remember him wanting to give Cap a better fighting style and more acrobatic feats. He was tired of the punch-kick-punch-kick combo.
Chris got what he wanted and it made everything so much better.
I can almost bet that if he didn't say anything, and if TWS didn't improve Cap's skill, he'd still have that punch-kick-punch-kick jumbo he had in TFA and A1.
BW has a pistol though, yes you read correctly a freaking pistol.
That's just lame on some many levels, c'mon now Whedon.

How is that any lamer than a bow and arrow? I'm sure she's got specialized ammo and isn't just shooting them with ordinary rounds much like Hawkeye isn't just using regular arrows.

Millions of regular humans around the world own and use pistols, as well as the world's police forces and militaries who use higher grade weapons. If BW uses a pistol it needs to be differentiated from a regular pistol and this wasn't done in the first film. Hawkeye uses a much rarer weapon and the specialisations of the individual arrows were made obvious on numerous occasions. It looks like she's getting much improved weaponry for AoU though.
Just to add; Widow using pistols with special ammo is weak. I mean, why stop at a pistol in that case?
