I recently had the occasion to watch it again on DVD and a nice home theater system. One of the neat things about Night's movies (and this is generally true of Hitchcock as well) is that on subsequent viewings you see little plot details that are put in all along the way to support the conclusion. Very well made.

Love SIGNS too. In fact I watched it the day after UNBREAKABLE - it was kind of a mini M Night Shyamalan festival. - I think SIGNS might even be the best of the two, but both are great. The Village is also excellent although much maligned. If you watch that one with an open mind and no prejudice you will see.

I loved that movie, espically Sam Jackson's performence. While I love when he's a badass, it's really cool to see him in a more vulnerable, human role. I felt so bad for him at the end.

totally agree with you on Signs, its his best movie with this coming a close second. Love this movie... infact, i love all his movies

"They call me Mr. Glass"... was absolutely halarious... the problem with this movie is that everyone was expecting "HOLY ****... Oh snap... DAMN!!!"... at the end and the audience was left with... "WTF that's it?" A thinking movie like all his other movies but pretty decent if you look at the big picture... I think Lady in the Water is gonna be fantastic...

Amazing movie, amazing soundtrack, and i love the Sam Jackson´s monologue at the end, one of the best monologues i´ve heard in a very long time

Now that we know who you are... I know who I am - I'm not a mistake! It all makes sense, in the comics you know who the arch villain is going to be? He's the exact opposite of the hero! And most time's they're friends like you, and me. I should've known way back when you know why David? Because of the kids! They called me Mr. Glass.

That´s the pinnacle of it all, the best exemple of comic book mythology, specially the last two lines "Because of the kids" (kids are the first target to comic books, it was created for them, back in the 40's and 60´s), and then "They called me Mr. Glass." (the kids had gave him a villain´s name).

Signs was okay at best. It has a great atmosphere, but if you stop to think about it, the movie doesn't make any sense. Aliens come from across the universe to invade a planet, but don't know that the majority of the damn place is water. What would they do if it rained?

The Village was abominable crap. 1. You don't promise monsters and then not deliver with the monsters. 2. It was incredibly predictable.

Early reviews of Lady in the Water are saying that it's not a good movie.
I think Joblo had one, but it was pulled.

That leaves Unbreakable and The Sixth Sense.
If more than half of his movies aren't any good what does that say about the director?

It's a movie dude... course it ain't gonna make sense... never saw the village but I heard the ending about it and that just sounds super gay... Lady in the Water looks pretty weird but I wouldn't suprised if it was just average... Signs and the Sixth sense were still very good flics...
