have they said that this is the last Uncharted? i hope not.

They said a while ago that it wouldn't be. They might do something else first, but they never planned Uncharted as a Trilogy series.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is Naughty Dog's last Uncharted game, but there's no way in hell it's the end of the series.

They also have Golden Abyss coming out for the Vita, so they could easily transition to some handheld versions if that turns out to be as good as the console ones.

I thought Naughty Dog had stated there would be another one...
They did:

The only way I see Naughty Dog not doing another one is if Sony makes them move forward with something else.

Yeah, they do, and Australia which isn't Europe. But the promotion doesn't seem to be coming here.

It's OK Wolvieboy, you can still claim the Hemsworth siblings as your own ;) .

Aren't there like 20 of them?

I was only aware of the two. Also, I don't think being from the same country entitles me to go round to Chez Hemsworth and help myself to a beer....... But I'm willing to give it a red hot go!

There are at least 3. There's the youngest one who was in that Miley Cyrus movie and dated her. And the other is Chris' twin.

Can someone post again what the different pre-order deals are from Amazon/Best Buy/Gamestop are?

  • GameStop: Creepy Crawler Kickback (a swarm of creatures attacks your enemies for a limited period)
  • BestBuy: Regeneration Booster (better healing power)
  • Amazon.com: Carpet Bomb Kickback (spits out three grenades at once) & Increased clip size for the Para 9 or G-MAL weapons
  • Wal-Mart: Callout Mod for AK-47 (gives your AK-47 a laser sight that allows your team to see the location of your target)
  • Other retailers: Uncharted 3 PSN Avatar & Uncharted 3 PS3 static them
I originally preordered through GS, until I saw the bonuses from Amazon. I have since switched to Amazon. However, it just occurred to me that the MP will be starting a month before the game launches. I will probably have all of those things unlocked by time it hits retail and they send the codes for the bonuses. Lol.

Edit:
Gamestop will also have these Penny Arcade posters at launch for preorders:

Those faces in the poster are scary.

Get ready for the Uncharted novel and Comic mini series.

Sony is sandwiching Uncharted 3's November 1 release between a brand-new novel and a six-issue comic book series, delving deeper into Drake's fiction than ever before. Drake's new adventures begin on October 4 with the release of Uncharted: The Fourth Labyrinth, a novel by Christopher Golden, the ridiculously prolific writer suspense, horror, and fantasy writer. The book doesn't seem to be tied to any of the games specifically, rather telling a standalone adventure with Naughty Dog's familiar cast. From the back of the book:
Nathan Drake, treasure hunter and risk taker, has been called to New York City by the man who taught him everything about the "antiquities acquisition business." Victor Sullivan needs Drake's help. Sully's old friend, a world-famous archaeologist, has just been found murdered in Manhattan. Dodging assassins, Drake, Sully, and the dead man's daughter, Jada Hzujak, race from New York to underground excavations in Egypt and Greece. Their goal: to unravel an ancient myth of alchemy, look for three long-lost labyrinths, and find the astonishing discovery that got Jada's father killed. It appears that a fourth labyrinth was built in another land and another culture-and within it lies a key to unmatched wealth and power. An army of terrifying lost warriors guards this underground maze. So does a monster. And what lies beyond-if Drake can live long enough to reach it-is both a treasure and a poison, a paradise and a hell.
Then DC Comics follows up the release of the novel and the game with a six-issue comic book mini-series set before the events of Among Thieves and Drake's Deception. Written by Joshua Williamson with interiors by Sergio Sandoval, the series will see Nathan Drake taking a journey to the center of the Earth to find the legendary Amber Room, hidden by Sir Richard Byrd in the fabled city of Agartha.
If all goes well the novel should keep fans steeped in Drake leading up to the Uncharted 3 release, and the comic book will help them get their Drake fix once they've played through the game's story. Sounds like they've got this all planned out.
