Rhona Mitra is such a fox!!!

I know, much hotter than Beckinsale if you ask me.

I hope this movie doesn't mess up the continuity from the first Underworld.

I think it already has, in the first movie they said it was Sonja's execution which started the war and made Lucian rise up with the other Lycans, yet here they are fighting the war and rising up BEFORE Sonja's death. Its already screwed up my friend.

My feeling is selene is the one who has went against her father but knows needs help. My guess is she was just using them but actually falls for Lucian. By th end maybe teh war was blown open and a few battles were kinda cracks not a full warm where lycans were for fightng Victor until the end of maybe this movie and war was wide open.

But there is a scene showing Sonja's execution in the movie and it is said this is when the Lycans rise up, and is why Lucian turns and slaps Viktor at that point. This whole 3rd movie is one big plot hole if you ask me.

this movie looks pretty good. im a big fan of the first 2, i remember years ago they were talking about making the 3rd a prequel. i am disappointed we can't continue the story from part 2, i will miss kate. :csad:

Yeah you're right. The recent tv spots have led me to believe this now. I think its much more interesting and dark to have Sonja killed simply for loving a lycan and her pregnancy by Viktor than what they are doing in this one. It seems like they are tacking on a more reasons why he killed her (killing other vampires and such).

I'm a stickler for continuity and I am disappointed that they seemingly started the war and revolt before Sonja's death. Not to mention I think the original storyline would work much better.

Regardless of all that and my own personal quibbles, this film still looks good like it will be fun.

Besides how can anyone turn down the oppurtunity to see Mitra in tight outfits?!

I just saw the first one for the first time yesterday.

Hated it. The action was very meh, and I hated the plot/atmosphere. I guess I'll be sitting this one out

Yeah, that poster looks terrible, but I'm not really looking forward to this movie anyway. I liked the first two, but this one looks decidely like a step backwards for the story. There's already enough background story in the first two movies. Sure, they'll probably find some way to have a surprise or two, but ultimately they don't really have a lot of room to tell a story since it can't conflict with the other two movies. That is ultimately why I have a hard time warming up to prequels-- unless a movie leaves us asking lots of questions about the past, a movie set in the past isn't really going to bring much of anything new to the table (with the exception of Star Wars, oddly enough, even though they seem to receive lots of hate from everyone else).

Above all else though, this movie is not going to answer my biggest question after watching Underworld Evolution: what happens next? Selene Michael are both [blackout]super beings[/blackout] so where does the story go from there? Do [blackout]they just live happily ever after and make lots of hybrid babies[/blackout], or [blackout]are the vampires going to keep hunting them[/blackout]? I guess we'll never get a real answer. :(

^you never know we may get an answer in some form or another.

That poster can't be real.

I didn't say it was official.

A sequel hasn't been ruled out.

does anybody happen to know the official running time for this film? the first was 121, 2 was 106, i'm hoping this one is somewhere between there but not less than part 2. there seems to be plenty to explain and elaborate on

I know, but they have shot themselves in the foot already with this story IMO. The first movie does state quite clearly that the war started BECAUSE of Sonja's execution, not before it, so its already screwed up in my view. Rhona Mitra and the return of Lucian are the only things keeping interested in this.

They make the Lycans hairer and hairer.

I wouldn't mind seeing Razes first incounter with the Lycans when the war spilled over into Africa. But wait. Is Raze already with the Lycans in the movie? If he is then that would contracted he's origin into a Lycan because this movie is when the war first broke out? But it wouldn't be a big deal though because they can just say that the Lycans were hiding out in Africa and attacked the village that Raze was in (turning him in a Lycan) then after that they all got captured by the Vampires.
