Which doesn't explain why "Whiteout" is the last action film she's done since Evolution.

You are aware that a lot of actors take breaks from movies in general, right? If she had a problem with action movies, she wouldn't have stated that she'd actually be interested in portraying Catwoman. Look it up on the site, she indeed said it.

The Underworld: Rise of the Lycans Trailer Hits!

Apple has debuted the new trailer for Screen Gems' Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, hitting theaters on January 23rd. Directed by Patrick Tatopoulos from a script by Danny McBride, the third installment stars Michael Sheen, Bill Nighy, Rhona Mitra and Kevin Grevioux.

The prequel story traces the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires known as Death Dealers and their onetime slaves, the Lycans. In the Dark Ages, a young Lycan named Lucian (Sheen) emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor (Nighy), the cruel vampire king who has enslaved them. Lucian is joined by his secret lover, Sonja (Mitra), in his battle against the Death Dealer army and his struggle for Lycan freedom.

So glad we're getting an Underworld with More Werewolves.

that trailer was everything that i was hoping for without spoiling a whole bunch about the movie itself. i just hope that it's more in line with the runtime of the first movie at 2 hours instead of the 90 minute sequel. i love both movies but feel that when a movie is significantly shorter than its predecessor it feels too rushed. action is great, i love the action, but story is just as important. some slower paces scenes never hurt.

lucian looks great, i was hoping he wasnt' going to be too much older looking than the first movie.

i too hope that there is a 4th film, a sequel to evolution. they are making a 3rd film then it makes sense for them to resolve everything that happened from the first 2 and the resolve of the 2 species

But it isn't as bad the CGI in new bond movie. That scene where bond alongwith some guy falls and breaks the roof is just plain bad and lifeless. Frankly speaking it felt like bond was some superhero or something. He aint.

let me see if i get this right. he didnt like the CGI because for a movie in 2008 and advanced computers this really didnt look good enough.
so you saw hes avater and it was the new james bond. so then you mentioned the CGI scene from the trailer? you think you hurted hes feelings?

just saw the trailer and it looks good, but some of the dialouge seems a little bit silly.

I didn't find any dialogue from the Comic-Con trailer, maybe they changed something in the new trailer....I'll check it out later.

Well I thought this would be horrible. But the trailer looks like it could be a guilty entertainment. In fact, with the story being about the best characters of the first movie, this could be the best of the series. Why? 7 words:

Michael Sheen is now the main character.

But, Sonja looks like a rip-off of Selene and Mitra is not as good as Beckinsale, I think. However, it looks entertaining and will hopefully at least be better than UW2.

Also, don't expect a fourth movie, as Beckinsale seems to have no interest in playing Selene again. It is a good career move to quit doing B-action movies as when she did UW1 it helped her star image, when she did UW2 and Van Helsing (a terrible "A" picture) she was starting to get typecast and has been doing indies mostly since.

So, my guess is this is the last installment in the series.

There werewolf graphics were meh but anything with Bill Nighy in it gets my money. He could sit on a toilet for 2 hours and I would pay to watch it.

i really dont like it.

to me personal the best thing about the first movie was where it was set. city and leather. plus kate was good looking. i think a prequel doesnt always work. and here its forced to much.
