i really dont like it.

to me personal the best thing about the first movie was where it was set. city and leather. plus kate was good looking. i think a prequel doesnt always work. and here its forced to much.

You do know a prequel was always part of the plan?

When we did the 1st Underworld, we imagined three--the 1st one, a sequel and then a prequel. The 3rd is a prequel, so the 4th would carry on where Kate and Scott Speedman left off after 2, so I think this is going to be terrific really this one."

You are aware that a lot of actors take breaks from movies in general, right? If she had a problem with action movies, she wouldn't have stated that she'd actually be interested in portraying Catwoman. Look it up on the site, she indeed said it.

Being interested is a long way from securing the role. She's just as likely to be interested in playing Anna Karenina.

People tend to miss little details like that so they can have something extra to complain about. I think they have the right mindset for the franchise, because it'll give us a breather from Selene and Michael. Like everyone else, I love seeing those two fighting and kicking ass, but us getting a prequel with Lucian and Raze among the main characters is just an awesome idea.

It's the third movie of the series, so technically, you can call it Underworld 3. It would be cooler if a Mod changed the name to "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" though.

Lucian & Raze = 2 totally badass characters. Some of my favorites in the series.

i bet texas chainssaw massacre teh beginning was also a plan from start

so now its ''IN'' to make a movie set in modern times and then make a prequel to the whole story? or is it like that: kate didnt want to come back so insted or recasting they made a story before her?

That was pretty excellent. Looks way better than the second.

The only downside is that there will be no Kate in tight black leather.

Ya we already know her fate but atleast we will get to know her better and itll make her death more prominate.

While she probably wont be in it, isnt Amelia suppose to be in this film aswell? I couldve sworn I read it somewhere (probably Wiki which explains it most likely being false)

Yes, this movie merely explains the events that lead up to that point. I get the feeling this movie will be even better than the first two.

Beckinsale was kind of annoying anyhow so at least she's not in this... hot don't get me wrong... but her with Scott Speedman just stuck up the joint IMO. And I never got why vampires are so friendly in these movies... I don't recall one vampire sucking on live human blood in any of these flicks. Just weird... maybe I am wrong though... I was never into this franchise spare the werewolves pitted against vampire concept.
