I was at a New Years event and with a few drinks, I really started to think. They released balloons outside at the drop of midnight. Where do these helium filled monsters go after they deflate and fall onto the ground like litter bombs? That is right, these party spectacles are nice to look at when they are going up, but when the come down...who is going to clean up the mess. Thousands of balloons maybe even millions are released at events every year, only to land in a farmer's field and pollute the Earth. Is releasing a festive balloon into the air the same as throwing one on the ground? Rubber and plastic take hundreds of years to degrade, could this be causing global warming:wow:

Al Gore ought to do a movie about remnants of balloons that pollute the earth.

And producing several times the maximum amount of pollution he says americans should. All that pollution takes time to produce, he's a busy man.

What's even worse is all the trash that's left behind after every Earth Day. :csad:

Man, I saw this show on PBS about the trash in the oceans.
Amazing.
There was a whole island of trash they collected, you wouldn't believe some of the stuff.

Harry Truman pins, type writers, 90 quadrillion rubber duckys, phones, 100,000 shoes that dropped off a ship from China.

There's probably tons of balloon skin in the ocean. :(

We must invent a safe, bio-degradable balloon out of animal instestines:o

Maybe Lamb-skin ballons. They're safe.

Heal the World
Make it a better place
with lamb skin balloons for the entire human race
There are...pee-ple dying...blablablablablablablablabla

They use to and may still have condoms made from lamb intestines:csad:
This was the joke. They were called "Lamb Skin" condoms. and yes they do still make them. Why are you sad though. What do you think goes around sausage?

I know that they are used as casing, but goodness who would want that smelly thing being used during teh secks? You could now say that you had a little lamb in you...

OH NOES!

If you want to make a seriously positive impact on the environment, go around glueing cows asses shut. :)

What about big events like Olympics...that has to be thousands of balloons.

Don't you know, they don't fall back to the earth, God collects them all.
