Why base it of the movies when you can base it on 25+ years of history formed in the novels, comics, and video games?
No, they do not seem overly powerful, they seem just right actually.

The comics, books, and video games aren't canon. Lucas has said so. Granted he has no problem letting them use the name, but that's business. They don't seem just right, they seem way more powerful then your standard or even Jedi master. Luke, Yoda, Vader, Emperor, etc, are the exception not the rule.

But pulling the 'books aren't canon' thing is a bit lame, having read my share of Star Wars books, the Jedi in those videos DO seem overpowered. Not to the point of being muchins, but they seems a bit more powerful then I would have expected.

It said Zenien posted yet I see no post? Anyways yeah.. the time around when the fourth ep. started.. the galaxy seemed a little short on Jedi.

Nevermind. The board finally started working for me But yeah.. having read my share of Boba Fett novels.. I can safely say that I don't follow exactly to "canon" (which is the movies) but I do have a sort of expectation of how powerful a Jedi should be.. And that sort of seemed a bit overblown.. the physics and everything were awesome.. just, if a Jedi is able to force levitate multiple stormtroopers AND shock them at the same time, that's a bit overdoing it, don't you think?

Or picking up tons of rock/metal and heaving it at an oncoming TIE fighter.

The jedi in that video are not to powerfull in the least! Check out what Anikin and Obi-Wan did in Episode 3 alone! And I mean c'mon, it was so past anything that was done in the original trilogy, yet it has been accepted. Jedi are powerfull, they control the force, that which creates and binds us, given that as a staple I would say anyone who could control it is pretty damn powerfull!

Besides they were throwing around storm troopers, not other jedi!

There are over 300 trillion people in the Star wars Galaxy(I believe, maybe a little less). I believe there were over two or three Trillion people on Coruscant alone when it was taken over by the Yuuzhan Vong.
I still get weirded out when I think about a billion people die when ever a Skyhook and Satelite crash to the surface of Coruscant during the invasion.
There are plenty of Stormtroopers to go around.
