Urge...wtf?!?

Mac vs. Apple? WTF are you talking about? Yeah, he's got a reputation for being difficult to work for at times, but he doesn't treat his workers like slaves. (I have a lot of friends who work for Apple, some for 20 years. They've said he can be an a-hole, but he does treat his employees well. He just gave everyone who works for Apple a free 8G iPhone...sounds like quite a slavedriver). The reality is that most CEO's have giant egos and drive towards what they want. If you hate Jobs for his business tactics, then you'd have to absolutely LOATHE Bill Gates who has employed a lot of anti-competitive tactics, monopolistic tendencies, copyright violations and underhanded approaches to building Microsoft. Or Carly Fiorina who used to head HP. Or Larry Ellison from Oracle. The list of *****ebag CEO's is a mile long and then some.

1. I just downloaded a song from Itunes, & still can't f-ing play it on winamp!:cmad:

Its in Mp4 format...WTF!!!

2. When Mac first came out. Jobs divided up the company into Apple, & Mac. He also antaganized each group until they were at each others throat. He felt that competition like that was the best way to get the best out of both sides.

It'll play fine in iTunes, but if you want to use Winamp try this:

Actually, what you're talking about is the Lisa. A project Jobs started and was then booted from, so he started working with the Macintosh team. Yeah, there was a lot of infighting over the two projects. He was a part of that infighting, but he was HARDLY the only person antagonizing things in that situation going by what my friends at Apple have told me. But that's corporate politics, dude. Stuff like that happens in EVERY corporation. I've seen it myself over and over again.

Thanks for the link.

Look I was just kind of kidding about Jobs. I know this sh** happens in every work place in some way or fashion.

You might also check this out. It's getting harder to find these little DRM strippers because the RIAA goes after them, but I think you can still find this one out there if you dig around a little.

Thanks, because ironically Itunes won't let me convert to Mp3 because it is copywritten. WTF?

Edit. That program seems a little shady, & new.

With iTunes, you can rip to CD and then rip it back off the CD to remove the DRM. However, here is another approach I found on another board

I found a virtual CD burning software named "NoteBurner" at

http://www.noteburner.com. It installs a virtual CD-RW burner on your PC, to

convert the music files, all you have to do is to select the default CD

burner to "NoteBurner CD-RW", then you click the "Burn Disc" button, this

software will do all the rest converting work for you.

As I tested, all the process is working very easy. Compared with other method

like recording, this one is fast and keep high quality in the converting

process. Highly recommended to who want to convert their music purchased

online.

Also, try Hym.

wow, i knew there was a reason i didn't ever use itunes. all this conversion nonsense seems like alot of work to get something you paid for into a more useable format. i'll stick with actually buying cds/records (and then usually at shows from the bands themselves) or soulseek for the mainstream/hard to find stuff.

Yeah, anytime you buy anything with DRM on it, you'll have that problem. At least iTunes does have some DRM free stuff through EMI. Hopefully the other record companies will follow suit.

I agree. The only problem is I live in a town where all the good record stores have shut down, & bands don't come to. & I am tired of feeling bad for downloading free music.
