Nell2ThaIzzay is a respected poster in this forum. He's a huge fan of Gambit and feels (like many incl me) that the writers could and most definetly should have found a way to fit in Gambit. Reading that the likes of Phat, Spike and Glob Herman are 'taking his place' isn't very heartwarming.

that's cool, I thought you were going to say Nell was a huge Phat fan or something........... well it's the truth, these people sit there and say a cameo doesn't do Gambit justice, well it doesn't, but a cameo is better then nothing...... these character such us Phat or Glob Herman are 4th rate characters, yes I know they are they to serve as easy characters to kill, but if they can find time to show them, they can find 2 minutes to show us Gambit, heck if this movie does turn out to be 1:43, I'm going to be pissed, like they couldn't have made a two hour movie and thrown in some extra cameos......... the Rogue Gambit love story is huge in the X universe, bigger then Jeans and Logans relationship, to just replace Gamibt with Bobby is such an insult............ oopps, sorry, rant

I got a feeling her mom will make her stay the way she is......... Rogue will either feel that no matter what, mutant or normal, she won't be loved by her parents the way she should be, so she decides to stay a mutant and stay at the mansion or
her mother will tell her that god made her that way for a reason, then rogues decides not to take the cure......

these movies are about tolorence and acceptance, and by having Rogue, of all people, get cured, will give you the message, change who you are so you will be accepted...............

I still think she steals Juggys strength in the end

What a horrible comparison. Jean and Logan have NO relationship in the comics besides him wanting HER. Granted, there is a mutual attraction but thats it. She and Scott have the strongest relationship.

that comparison was to point out that the relationship between logan and jean wasn't anything more in the comics then what you just said, but they are expanding that for whatever reason, and they are completely ignoring a great relationship, meaning gambit and rogue

i would love if Rogue's mother was rude and afraid of her for being a mutant, that would let her angry and see that her place is with the X-men, thus accepting her powers...

Wheras you stick Gambit in the background doing nothing for about 45 seconds, I assure you Gambit fans, the same Gambit fans who want a cameo, would be pissed.
By taking the less substantial mutants fromt he comics and putting them in the background, they have some freedom what to do with them, in terms of being knocked off.

but doesn't it perterb you at all, that this movie will most likely be 1 hour 40 some minutes, they had time to introduce Gambit, it's not like this movie is 2.5 hours, and every minutes is going to the story.... if 1:43 was long enough in their opinion to tell the phoenix/cure story, they could have easly added 10 minutes and introduced Gambit
