USB ports just....stopped

The USB ports in my monitor stopped reading devices...just like that. The ones in my tower still work.

I don't think I installed any new software. I went into Device Manager and looked for updates for all the USB drivers. Did a spyware sweep.

Any ideas, or what other info do you guys need to help me out? Any help appreciated.

Have you placed anything lately to it that could have caused it to short out? Or has it just been sitting there not in use?

The USB cable that goes from your monitor's upstream port to your computer tower's downstream port... checked it?
